Queens Council members go green

From NY1:

This election year, "going green" will be a popular position for candidates running for office. But which elected officials in Queens borough are as green as they say?

Gioia and White scored 100%, Gennaro and Katz scored 83%, Crowley scored 22% and Ulrich scored 17%. Watch story to find out why. (Some of it is pretty bogus.)

This is one of those bullshit puff pieces that shows the level that the NY media (like the politicans and urban fabric) has sunk to.

Every new building pays lip service to 'green' so if you approve of a lot of buildings you are 'green'?

Gioia, famed for ignoring the needs of his constituents as he resume builds (a ready comment on world hungar as he turns his back to his community as its wiped off the map) is high on the list?

How in the hell are you green if you invite a million people to a city that cannot take care of its current population?

I dont care if officials take bribes, steal land or beat their girlfriends - ITS ALL ABOUT THE LIGHTBULBS THEY USE!!

the only green they care about comes in an envelope

Queens Council members have been "green" for years...accepting bribes (campaign contributions) from developers!

i.e. Katz, Vallone, et. al.
