He won't be doing that again...

From Fox 5:

A bank robber has apparently died after falling from an elevated subway platform while trying to evade police, the NYPD said Monday.

Around 1:35 p.m., the thief entered a Capital One Bank branch on 113th Street and Liberty Avenue in Ozone Park, Queens, and demanded cash. A bank clerk gave the robber some cash with a dye pack. He then fled the bank, but outside he encountered police officers, so he ran up subway stairs.

The robber then apparently jumped from the platform, possibly hoping to get away from the officers, and fell onto 113th Street and died, police said.

Not that I like what he did, but most bank robbers are amateurs. I am a veteran of two attempts.

One of my robbers wore a heavy winter parka on an August day and sent me down the line to get money from the other tellers. He was stunned to be caught.

The second robber was a former customer who went to pieces after a family problem. He robbed me with a bum leg and limped away. When he was caught we had a two pictures and a signature sample to compare to his signature card.

This economy sends many over the edge.

He should have asked for a job instead of the money.

I'm waiting to see his grieving family come out of the woodwork and state to the media that they intend to sue the city because the cops chased him off the platform. Oh, the tragedy of it all!
