Forget safety, can't we protest the fact that those things are hideous inside and out, have little or no natural light, and eat up playground space?

If they offered vouchers for people to send their kids to private school, it would create jobs, reduce classroom size and overcrowding. But God forbid we do something like that. The teachers' union would flip.

So would I as a taxpayer.

You want private this-or-that...pay for it yourself.

You's rather dump billions into new school construction?

Declare all private schools to be "charter schools". Problem solved.
