City's map gets it wrong

Boone Playground, eh?
I think not.

I went to a Bowne House July 4 (they used to have programs there a long time ago before the politicians got involved.)

Congressman Schumer stood up to give a speech - kept calling it 'Bone House'.

His office was a few doors away.

I don't know what Google you're looking at because:
a) That isn't what Google's font or colors look like, and
b) Google gets it right on my computer.

I guess I'm special.

In Chuckie's defense, many people aren't sure how to say Bowne, pronouncing it bone, instead of Bowne as in bow-wow-wow.

OK, Kevin, if he was fresh off the boat from Grand Rapids but as a community leader you should get the name right.

I cannot imagine Scott Springer saying Huuston Street in Soho.

You mean, Scott Stringer

It wasn't a Google map. It was the City's map, which makes the mistake even worse. I corrected the title.

Incidentally, Yahoo Maps gets the name of the surrounding area wrong.

On the corner of Bowne Street and 45th Avenue, there is a Boon Church, a Chinese church that may have also misspelled Bowne in its name.
