Sticks out like a sore thumb

Here is yet another example of the crappy developments going up in Astoria. Notice how they built up and out. They even built out in the back of the house. So much for zoning laws.

the balconies almost extend to the sidewalk!

Does zoning take into account the current existing structure's set backs? Extending a building design to the sidewalk, immediately changes the look feel like this example. It's bad enough the structure towers above neigboring structures and doesn't make any attempt to blend achitecturally.

This is a basic problem of all new construction and the crapification of Queens.

Building up and out....
every square inch must be taken advantage of
so that some greedy absentee landlord
can pack in 16 "illegals" (?) per unit, h-m-m-m ? !!!

It's CB#1....
the community board from HAYDES.

We're talkin' to Greeks here!

Where's Hermes....
ferrying another boatload in ?

George picked up the boatload under the Hell's gate and took them straight to his diner to begin washing dishes. Hermes went to pickup 16 mattresses and arranging them among the warren of rooms in the house pictured. He may have to reconfigure the basement to accomadate the next boatload - George needs wait staff.
