Bloomberg: Taxpayers like alcoholics

In an unusually sharp attack on Washington Thursday, Bloomberg compared the federal government's plan to hand out $600 tax rebate checks to "giving a drink to an alcoholic."

Mayor Bloomberg rips George Bush's rebates as 'giving drink to alcoholic'

"They want to send out a check to everybody to stimulate the economy," Bloomberg said. "I suppose it won't hurt the economy, but it's in many senses like giving a drink to an alcoholic.

"This country has a balance sheet that's starting to look more and more like a Third World country," Bloomberg said.

His unusually blunt alcoholic analogy sounded as if Bloomberg - a possible presidential candidate who has been known to be a little tone-deaf on occasion - was comparing cash-strapped Americans to out-of-control drinkers.

Where was this man around when the three tenors, Michael, Peter, and Eric, encouraged the public to be pigs at the Con Ed trough?

Seen our rates jump last month?

Nice move, boys!

Gee, Bloomberg had no problem handing out $400 rebate checks. WTF is the difference you turtle-faced billionaire bozo?

Mayor Bloomberg,

If congestion pricing happens in Manhattan, we will need the rebate check.

You are one self serving Mayor. Congestion Pricing will be your legacy. You screwed the outer boroughs royally for your precious Manhattan.

This little prick, the Commissar has just announced for all the world to know, exactly what he thinks of citizens who pay for this city to operate.

His attitude excludes the illegal alien citizens. They're great, since, like him, they believe they're entitled to screw taxpayers for all they have.

He's not politically tone deaf. He just honestly loathes all the non-billionaires. He actually loathes everyone.

Can anyone specify any actual accomplishments this turtle-faced midget has produced?

Billionaires - Buffet - endorses raising taxes for all

Gates - So cheap he didn't give away a dime to charity until setting up a foundation with Buffet recently - not that you hear much about giving away a combined 80B - they haven't.

Bloomberg - Severly out of touch - takes the subway for photo-op "Common guy theme", right we know better. Lives in Bermuda otherwise every chance free time. Has a fleet of private transocean jets to go anywhere. Trashes rebates - taxpayer money that would otherwise be wasted by POLS in Washington.

Has own RE rebates in place - makes it seem he is generious - Should focus eliminate rebates for home owning dwellers by lowerring the tax by that amount. Raise revenues by delelopers who get free ride via 15 yr tax abatement instead. Eliminate creation of give-a-way favorable zoning to big developers.

Has 8B - gives away miniscule paltry amounts, cheaper than cheap - .

We should be listening to this guy? Action speaks louder than words - where the beef?

The best government is one where they don't have your money to spend to begin with, rather you the earner can best manage that money by spending it yourself. Government is Robin Hood, take from Peter to give to Paul.

This federal rebate is economically unsound. They should be focusing on keeping liquidity in the system and shoring up FNMA and the bond insurers. This will keep rates low and financing available during the next year of subprime rate resets. At that point, the Fed needs to raise rates to fight inflation and support the dollar. These rebate checks will just increase the deficit and make things worse.

You can't compare this to Bloomberg's rebates, which were paid during times of surplus.

So"the country has a balance sheet" eh?

And I think
we have an unbalanced shit for a mayor !

Think of what damage NYC's CEO Bloomberg
might do to the country
if this out of touch eccentric billionaire
actually became president!

Whatever measures are taken
it's already too late for the US economy.
We're already in recession.
The question remaining is, just how deep ?

We've been Bush-whacked
by our oil mogul/president and his Bin Laden buddies.

Let's face it folks....
OIL IS THICKER THAN LOYALTY!

When profits are plentiful
you'll find that oil industry giants.....
be they American or Saudi....
have more in common with each other
than you may think!

Drunkwithpowerberg has been giving poor folk $500 as reward to take their kids to the doctor, but he calls taxpayers "alcoholics". He is strictly an advocate for the rich/ poor society. In his mind the working class are suckers.

Boob-berg looks like as if he needs
a good cleaning out.

The crap's backed up to his nose!

Come to think of it,
our city council could make good use of a daily
"Fleet" enema .

And Katz is overdue for her high colonic.
