Was Pinky's accuser harassed by the NYPD?

The woman allegedly raped by City Councilman Dennis Gallagher claimed yesterday that she was treated badly by police in the hours after the assault.

Gallagher's accuser files complaint vs. NYPD

"I felt like I was being raped twice," said the victim, a 52-year-old grandmother whose name is being withheld by the Daily News. "They were nasty to me."

She said cops may have been trying to protect Gallagher and intimidate her.

This is getting more interesting.

... to say nothing about her rude treatment by his fellow politicians and their controlled press.

Wow, once one of their own is attacked, 'tha lads' form a circle shields raised, swords and axes at the ready.

It may take us all day, but lets break down their shield wall once and for all and turn Queens back to its people.

Do you think the fact that this woman is throwing more accusations around about different people helps the case against Gallagher? I sure don't think so.

does it help? probably not. did it happen? quite likely. police treat crime victims with suspicion and when a politician is involved - well, you can just imagine what they'd do.

Can you say "lawsuit"?

As a leading legal authority once said.....

"The police are here, by and large,
to protect and defend the lives and property
of wealthy and powerful individuals
who can very well afford
their own private armies to do the same".

Despite the "sensitivity" training given to cops....
many are still using "bully-boy" manners
which are fostered by the police academy
where they receive their instruction.

A senior citizen victim
is entitled to compassion from everyone.......
unless, of course, a council member is involved
as the perp apparently!

That's OK Pinky....you're about to get your turn
on the other side of the law!

funny thing, though I know there are good cops, they tolerate the knuckle-heads in their fraternity. Let 'em turn em out and things would be better, though the job would be less attractive to bullies.

Actually, it is the NYPD's policy to not take a statement from someone who is clearly intoxicated. The officers are supposed to wait until the person is sober. That is why the "victim" was probably put in a waiting room for a while before someone spoke with her.

So now the Queens Crap bloggers are anti-NYPD. I have many close friends who live in Queens and are New York City police officers who I believe would be quite offended by some of the remarks here. Tell all the officers that work on the task forces that have been going into high-crime, low-income neighborhoods and reducing crime throughout the entire city for the last 15 years that they are only protecting the "wealthy and powerful." Please describe for me in detail the "police academy" "instruction" on using insensitive "bully-boy" tactics, since you know so much about it, before you start smearing cops.

No we are anti the bad apples in the NYPD who are few but still present.

I believe her 100%. How many of us have been shocked by the conduct of some cops in dealing with a situation? Most don't have the proper education to deal with the public and some don't belong on the force.

I applaud this woman for following through on her complaints against Council Member D. Gallagher and insensitive cops.

Hey Anonymous,

Do you think that officers stopped to ask people their income levels when they ran into the burning Towers to help people to safety? I know my husband didn't. Today he has lung damage, asthma and a persistent cough that he did not have before 9/11. You are a fine example of why being a police officer is a thankless job!

P.S. Let me guess, you're probably PO'd because you tried to make a complaint when you were drunk and an officer refused to take you complaint until you sobered up.

GET OFF YOUR POLICE SOAPBOX MORON.

of course she was treated rudely. who isn't? just walk in any precinct in NYC and notice how you are treated.

I had an awful experience with a power-hungry cop with nothing to do. And I did nothing wrong. I was trying to take the subway to work when a scary crazy woman pushed her way in with me in the turnstile. I was trying to get away from her and then she ran away, and the cop blamed me. He took my information and did a criminal check. I got to work very late and had a lot of explaining to do. Watch out people and if someone tries to push their way in, just scream as loud as you can.

Your husband doesn't exist because you are a man baby. Get off of your friggin' soap box and get off of this blog.

If your husband is a policeman or fireman, that's what he gets paid to do. Nobody twisted his arm to take that job.

BTW, don't criticize any cops because her husband gets paid to protect the public.

Give me an F'en break!

Pinky and his band of thieves are still at the blogging game. You would think that the lowlife assholes would be scrambling for cover with what is about to hit.

Bye Bye Pinky! Your legal troubles are about to get much worse.

I LOVE THIS WOMAN...

Who doesn't have a thankless job?

Hey Dave,

Do you have a neighbor or a friend who is a police officer (Well, not a friend. You probably have none of those.)? Why don't you express your asinine opinions directly to them?

You should read what Astorians think of their cops: Police officers breaking laws

No, I said that they don't give preferential treatment to the wealthy because I don’t know about you, but I don’t walk around with my net worth written on my forehead. Yes, there are some bad apples out there as there are in all fields, but don’t lump everyone in together because you had a bad experience. You are trashing all officers on this site. You probably live in or around Middle Village, Glendale or Maspeth, so it is very likely that you know someone who works for the NYPD. Be respectful and don’t trash your neighbors!

THE 112TH PRECINCT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT DA MIKELLE AND KING DAVID ILLEGAL NIGHTCLUBS IN QUEENS. I THINK THEY ARE PAID OFF TO IGNORE THE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FROM THE NEIGHBORS.

Come on, most Astorians I know think that blog is a waste of time, a bunch if kids - I grew up with fellows that became Con Ed employees and cops - the same ones those kids spit at.

The funny thing is that more than a few of em still live in the neigbhorhood.

Retired officers don't discuss
academy tactics....."bully-boy" or otherwise!

Anonymous said...

Some cops.....and I said....SOME COPS......
don't have to ask about your income level.

They just profile you by your nationality or color....
and that should suffice!

My late uncle was a cop.....and a damn good one (Motorcycle #1 Manhattan) .

His body was escorted by a cadre of a Nassau cycle cops, last year, when he was buried
at Calverton National Cemetery
with a military honor guard.

When he was alive, he told our family many stories about thugs and "bad apples" in the force.

I'll honor his memory .....
and the others like him.....not the crooked ones
that he spoke of and hated!

Well let's look at what we know...
Gallagher said sex was consensual,
the woman said it was not.

After testifying before the grand jury for over two hours he couldn't convince the jurors that sex was consensual.

Queens District Attorney Dick Brown also believes he raped and assaulted the woman.

And finally, does anyone out there think that she would make all of this up?
That wouldn't be very smart.

I believe she was raped by a man who was intoxicated and out of control for quite some time. I also believe that the evidence will prove that.

As for the woman's complaint about how she was treated by the police, that's a VERY common complaint by rape victims. Something the NYPD should examine.

My heart goes out to this woman, if this whole thing went down as she said. If only we knew who she was we might go to her home and offer her solace. I'm sure she's in need of some.

Anonymous said...

Were not saying that cops should be required to use
tea party manners. The job is hard enough.

But enough with the macho/tough attitude
role playing that was displayed toward this woman
(and others) who was clearly a victim.

It wasn't like she had a Glock in her hand
and was about to draw a bead on one the officers.

She was a grandma for Pete's sake.....intoxicated or otherwise. Where was the threat?!

NOTE:
Elenore Bumpers was a grandma too. (She was "OUT-GUNNED" .....though admittedly she held a knife in her hand).

A new phenomenon in American society: Trial by Blog

Anonymous said...

I think it is true that police treat the stories of intoxicated people differently, and rightly so. When people are intoxicated they often do things they would never do when sober, when they sober up they can often go into denial and make excuses for their behavior that they actually end up believing themselves. The only thing that seems clear here to me is that Pinky and this woman most likely both drank themselves into blackouts, so why should we believe either of them. Perhaps Chris Quinn was lying in wait at Pinkys campaign office and raped both of them. Has anyone given Pinky a rape test?

Anonymous said...

Of course your on Mrs I cry Rape's side, But She was drunk when this happend what does she know???

Anonymous said...

Hey Gallagher supporters, wait until you hear the details of his vicious attack and rape on this woman and wait until the court hears from all the other women he has harassed over the years. Then lets watch all of the deaf, dumb and blind rats go running for the hills. Can't wait for the trial!

Anonymous said...

At the DA's office I heard there is a line out the door of women Gallagher has victimized. The word around Brown's office is that the press will have a field day with the info coming from the trial and from sources.

Can Dennis Gallagher be a bigger moron?

Anonymous said...

Jimmy, unless you are Dennis Gallagher himself, how do you know she was drunk when the rape happened? Even if she was, the law protects women from rape, even if they are intoxicated. NYS has a good and strict law on the subject. And of course we all know the levels of intoxication.

It was reported that Dennis Gallagher was drunk too. Apparently no one has a problem with Gallagher driving drunk, taking a woman to his office and having sex, whether consensual or not...it's still wrong!

All of the ignoramuses defending Gallagher should just shut your mouths and stop attacking the victim and wait for the trial for the DA's presentation.

Gallagher is blogging on his Patriots' site. The D.A. would be VERY interested in the comments he has posted. He continues to degrade the victim.

The asshole doesn't know that the comments can be traced to him.
