From the Times Newsweekly:
Officers from the 106th Precinct responded to a call to the Lincoln Street home of Jaja Cumberland, 37, last Wednesday, Dec. 30. According to police sources, he told the officers that two African-American males in their mid-30s came to the house and engaged him in a dispute over money owed to them in a pyramid scheme.
The verbal confrontation allegedly turned into a physical one, as Cumberland was knocked to the ground. One of the perpetrators then drew a firearm and fired a shot (which missed). Both men then fleed the scene.
When responding to the incident, the officers reportedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana. An investigation found that Cumberland was growing the pot plants in the home’s basement, leading to Cumberland’s arrest, according to 106th Precinct sources.

Give the guy a break! He was probably only getting ready to sell marijuana to the very sick people in New Jersey.
Next you'll tell us he's an illegal alien
Effing Moron....
Fleed is not a word.
The reporter meant they "flea-ed" the scene. As the true vermin they were.
