Also, keep a good thought for Coastal Preservation Network. This College Point-based marine biology and conservation startup volunteer group does shoreline cleanups, provides educational programs, and will soon get on the water a bit!

Keep them coming. As more people send in images of the College Point shoreline, readers will develop an appreciation of what is being lost.
And maybe then, a movement will grow to preserve our borough's shoreline.
Local candidate Steve Behar already sent me an email on my photo essay, expressing a similar desire to expand public access to the shoreline.
