Keep them coming. As more people send in images of the College Point shoreline, readers will develop an appreciation of what is being lost.

And maybe then, a movement will grow to preserve our borough's shoreline.

Local candidate Steve Behar already sent me an email on my photo essay, expressing a similar desire to expand public access to the shoreline.

My fear is that greedy developer trolls reading this blog will pass this on to their greedy bosses who will see the land as more waterfront condos just waiting to be developed. This is Queens and it is in CB7's jurisdiction. I'm just sayin'...

Also, keep a good thought for Coastal Preservation Network. This College Point-based marine biology and conservation startup volunteer group does shoreline cleanups, provides educational programs, and will soon get on the water a bit!
