Truth in advertising

The Daily news reports today that former councilman Allan Jennings is using city council stationery to send out ads for his real estate business. His former colleagues find this unacceptable.

Pushing the Envelope

Maybe they're upset that he's cutting into their commission since they'd rather work for the real estate industry instead of their constituents.

Well, at least he's (shamefully) up front about it! C.M. Katz (land use chair) does it behind everybody's back! Now, now, now! Keep yer britches on.We're not talking about "canoodling" here.

Yeah, a lot of C.M.s are in the real estate business, one way or another!

Let's see if our illustrious city Council brings him up on charges of "conflict of interest"! Don't hold your breath citizens!

Can someone please help clarify something for me? Do city council members receive a budget to create mailings to their constituents? If that is the case, then I would like to find out if there is any one else in John Liu's council district who has received a mailing from his office. I have not moved for many decades and used to receive community updates from Councilwoman Julia Harrison. Since he has been in office, I have not received anything in the mail from John Liu. How can I find out if the money that may be allocated is used appropriately? Any suggestions?

You can have my unrequested junk mail from Johnny Liu anytime!
