Bedbugs at DOH HQ

From the NY Post:

The Health Department is trying to sweep a bedbug problem at its shimmering Long Island City headquarters under the rug, sources told The Post.

“We’re the Health Department, and they don’t let us know, they don’t keep us informed. I was told they don’t want mass hysteria — but people have a right to know,” a source told The Post.

At least five floors have so far been affected by the six-legged scourge, sources said, but agency higher ups are not being up front about the problem.

The agency confirmed a “small number” of bedbugs were found, but said the building was inspected and there was no evidence of infestation, so therefore the bedbugs were likely “hitchhikers.”

Gross - hitchhikers coming in with the employees???

That means there will be more. These people are finally earning their bloated salaries and benefit packages!

Isn't that Pete "junior" Vallone's turf?

Don Pietro, sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite.

Stop the Vallones. God save Queens!

Whoa...
that's gonna have an impact on real estate sales in LIC.

Can you imagine a hipster having to explain all of those little red bite marks on his face to his Manhattan boss?

Bugs are so democratic. They have no prejudice against biting the upper classes along with their usual working class victims.

Residents and businesses are still waiting for the DOH to deal with the rat infestation at the "5 Pointz" site on Davis Street, LIC-- despite logging dozens of 311 complaints.

The DOI inspector general was also made aware of this health crisis

You can thank the dynamic duo of slumlords, Gerald and David Wolkoff, for the gross neglect of that property.

No, it's Van Bramer's district, actually. But Superman should have stopped them.

Super Pete vs the Bedbugs!

Oops, my bad, Crapper.
I'm always willing to hold myself responsible for all of my errors in judgement and typos, too.

UR totally correct and I should have known better-- having dealt with Van Bramer, to no avail regarding the rats.

Yet, I keep slipping in my thinking--that Pete "junior" Vallone is also to blame for the generally crappy conditions found in the Astoria-LIC area.

Why split hairs between districts? This is LIC and both councilman should give a damn. Am I right?

A bed bug can last three month sone one sucking. They then hid anywhere

A politician can only last a day on one feeding.
Then these vampires take their nightly walks looking for fresh blood.
