I dont know who the Bowne Park Detective is, AND he's done a great job lately on reporting the condition of the park and getting parks dept to clean it up. BUT Im pretty sure this motorcycle thing is a one off. I'm at the park A lot and I've never seen motorcycles. What I do see is a COMPLETELY finished Bacci court that's being saved for someones election results!

And this is supposed to be a good nabe?
Where's the Bowne Park Civic Association?

Where's the 109th PCT?

Maybe those rough and tough bocce players should take care of this, unless it's their knuckle head sons doing the cycling.

Teenagers are also buzzing around the paths on motorized scooters.

NYPD can start confiscating the bikes. The word will get around fast.

Or fishing line - strongly anchored - at the right height.

The 109th is too busy up the asses of politicians and politician wanna bes to care about public safety.

Oh come on! Let them ride their motorbikes in the park.
It's a free county (Queens) the last time I checked.

Bet they're all the super-loud bikes we come to love in the summer....

Not to mention the idiots who race through the streets in North Flushing on ATVs, mostly in the winter but also during other seasons. They think they're driving around on dirt or desert sand, but someday they're going to come face to face with a Hummer.

You sure it wasn't Vallone and Liu promising free noodles and fireworks for everyone as part of the Marco Polo Sineurabia alliance?

To Vincent:

There is, (for a fact), that there is more than 1 "Bowne Park Detective". We all contribute,as concerned residents, and citizens, of the neighborhood(s) and usually try to say something, when we see something that's not right or we are insatisfied with and try to change or correct it.

Cops aren't allowed to go after these bikes. If they stop them, the cops are painted as racists. when one of these hoodrats decides to fight a cop, the whole thing is put on You Tube, and the cop is charged, sued and loses vacation time. And God forbid these bikes take off and one of the bikers get into an accident. Then how dare the cop make the poor kid get on his bike and race off. He would be alive right now if the big bad cop didn't bother him. Say what you want about the cops not doing their jobs, but this is probably why we aren't getting the enforcement we all think there should be.

I'm in the park daily - have been for years - I've never seen these bikes. They must've been there only a short while. Maybe they were visiting someone in the park.

Those bikers are those guys, in photos, playing Basketball. I took the photos.

Soon you'll see barbecues.
Yummy...
roast pig and Corona brewskies sound good to me.

Pass the salsa and turn up the music.

It's crazy to bash the Police, people should be more concerned & focused on all the crime going on in the neighborhood instead of a group of guys riding their motorcycles to go play basketball, its not like there was a motorcycle grand-prix on the pathways in the park. It's terrible to report that & have the Police go there to investigate it, there are much more pressing matters that they could be taking care of. Those pictures were just taken to start trouble.

To Anonymous #16;

Well, You say that now, in this case. But if it were some sort of situation you were unhappy or dissatisfied with on or near your home, or business, I think you just might feel a little differently and want the police to enforce whatever it may be.
