City to seize Vietnam Veteran's property for developer

From the Juniper Berry:

Jack Bono spent the prime years of his life serving his country in Vietnam. Now the City of New York plans to seize the factory his family has owned for 76 years and sell it to a foreign developer. This is the story of an abusive un-American land grab taking place right here in the borough of Queens.

Like the schoolyard thugs who steal lunch money from the much younger kids who cannot defend against the thieves, this jackbooted Commissar is the main thug for other wealthy thugs who want your property, so just take it.

He will act out his sociopathic obsession for wealth until he is expelled.

We are the principal who can teach this thug a lesson he will never forget.

Let's dump the punk!

I hope they save this man's house. He's already given the best year's of his life for his country in the service of a dubious war.

I am old enough to remember vets being called, "Baby Killer," riots in the streets over Vietnam.

An ex-Master Sargeant husband of a friend of mine developed a life-long drug habit as a result of the guilt he felt from being part of the unit that drew maps used for bombings.

Now we want to trade with Vietnam and put vets on the street. Sick! Sick! Sick!

We need to craft an effective course of action againsts someone who

1. ecourages developers to use government to seize property

2. overrides the wishes of the public on term limits

3. and gives developers tax breaks and bennies from working families hard earned taxes while they scrape to get by because the cost of city services are going through the roof.

We have to hammer away these points ad nausium.

We have to chip away at the easy pass he gets in the media.

Thank you. I supported him too before I realized the direct connection between his pro-developer policies and my personal problems.

In the last few years, Astoria has had many of its most beautiful buildings ruined, had out-of-scale monstrosities shoe-horned into tiny lots, and had tenants, building owners and pedestrians menaced by sloppy and illegal construction techniques.

I was in Harlem the day that the people were trapped in the Pizzeria.

I witnessed in my own area the dreadful Father's Day fire that claimed the lives of three firemen due to foolish use of gasoline by a child and then got to see my landlord painting my banisters with gasoline.

Several of my neighbors have had their property rights violated by arrogant builders who have crossed property boundaries, bricked up their windows and sent bricks raining down on their roofs.

Just yesterday I passed the site of a building down the block from me being torn down as a hazard to life.

This was the same little house destroyed when bricks rained down from an adjacent structure. Newton Avenue, a main drag in Astoria, was closed to traffic because of this fiasco.

I am going to be out opening the polls in Astoria. I must keep my mouth shut while working, but I urge my neighbors to show up early and do the right thing.

Mighty John Young has shown up at your doorstep. You are doomed.

Check out the next LICA meeting - they need your voice.

Whose is LICA and who is "Mighty Joe Young" besides being a rip-off of King Kong? I have never been political so I need the training wheels.

'Mighty John Young' is a rip off indeed. Stick around this board and you will figure it out (or take advantage of the search feature and tell us what you find)

You don't know what LICA is? I guess you don't live in western Queens.

Your tired comments have absolutely nothing to do with this man's land being seized by the City. So I will continue to remove your asinine drivel. You have your own blog to post them on. And since no one reads it, you have to mail out your links to people who you think give a damn.

Have a nice day. Just think, if you had behaved yourself, you'd still be in office.

what bullshit leave these people alone

I can't believe the City of New York would stoop so low as to steal property from a veteran. How low can you possibly go? LEAVE THESE PEOPLE ALONE!!!!

------

Get real.

They are in office to make money.

They can (and do) take property from citizens and give it to shiftless bums all the time.

Ever pay taxes?

Instead of censoring comments Crapper, how about answering this - who is the "foreign developer" that Wilkinson refers in her article?

Queens Crapper said...

Why don't you read the article and find out?

Anonymous said...

Explain how TDC is a "foreign" developer. Because it has operations both in NY and in China? Or because some of its executives are of Asian descent, even though the ones not born in the U.S. seem to have been U.S. citizens for decades? Or is it that some of you see an ethnic minority and your bigotry just rises up?

Why did Wellington Chen call Flushing a "crappy Chinatown"? Is he racist?

Anonymous said...

You've got to be kidding me. An American citizen who fought for this country in battle is threatened with eminent domain and you are taking bigger offense at the word "foreign" being used to describe the developer that's doing the taking? Go jump in a lake.

Bloomberg doesn't give a shit he'll take it and make money on it it's ajoke that this could happen to some one who went to war for his country i cant believe it wow

Notice how Crapper leaves anti-semitic comments but removes comments with valid criticism of people that he likes.

Queens Crapper said...

What bigoted comment?

Anonymous said...

You've got to be kidding me Crapper. The comment above that used an anti-Jewish reference for the name Bloomberg, has now been changed since the comment was posted that you are leaving anti-semitic remarks, and you pretend it was never there.
You are a joke.

Biggie smoking a ziggy again. Just leave it alone, Crappy. This is a guy who talks to himself by writing under different names.

Queens Crapper said...

Yeah, I know that guy.

Anonymous said...

I hope the Vietnam Veterans of America speak out about this.

Anonymous said...

Me too. I am going to write them a letter and enclose this story.

Some food for thought:

Does Wellington Chen have any background or credentials at all in architecture?

If so, which school did he attend?

Is he listed in any capacity anywhere as an architect, engineer or planner etc.?

This "little duke" seems to be passing himself off as who knows what sort of "expert"?

Anonymous said...

Maybe Marilyn Bitterman knows!

They seem to have always been tight.

What about those junkets to Taiwan in the early 80s?

Did Chen help arrange them?

Didn't some CB#7 members go?

Anonymous said...

Doesn't Chen have a brother?

If so, who is he and what does he do?

Anonymous said...

P-s-s-t....
any of you investigative reporters scoping this site might want to look into the background of a fellow named Eddie Chan.

Sorry that's all.
