Satmars cleaning up at the council

The bitter feud between the two brothers fighting for spiritual control of Brooklyn's Satmar community has spilled into the corridors of City Hall.

Their battle centers on the fiscal-year 2009 budget.

COUNCIL EN$NARED IN RABBIS' FAMILY FEUD

Through City Council Speaker Christine Quinn's discretionary fund, Brooklyn Councilmen David Yassky, Simcha Felder and Bill de Blasio dished out an unusually large sum to a new social-services group affiliated with Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum, whose congregation is based in Rockland County's Kiryas Joel community.

Meanwhile, a rival organization tied to Rabbi Zalman Teitelbaum in Williamsburg saw its funds slashed amid citywide budget cuts.

1) Why are we giving hundreds of thousands of city dollars to new organizations that serve people in Rockland County?
2) Why are these groups getting so much money when many local groups only receive peanuts or no money at all?

Buying Vote 2008
Come on all 4 of these bums are using city money to buy votes as they attempt to run for higher office. Yassky, Felder (at the time) for Comptroller Quinn for Mayor and De Blasio for Brooklyn Boro President.

This is a crime. Member Items go to your district. Williamsburg is not in Yassky, Felder, Quinn or DeBlasio district

A little "schmear" of cream cheese on a bagel is more than appreciated by the recipient.

A little discretionary money spread around often buys votes for the political candidate that's doling out the cash!

And if your organization is well behaved, (supports the giver) you'll continue to get your share of this political chump change.

If not, you don't and maybe
eventually go under!

Because they will work to destroy any politician that does not conform in lockstep with their goals.

It has little to do with the votes these group pull it has to do with contibutions they give to the same elected officials they give out money too.

Most of them vote in Rockland to take advantage of the lower taxes and cheeper car insurance

Paying protection money to such influential "religious" (mafia) groups is a time "honored" practice among pols!

Can't you just envision Felder
and Yassky doing a musical duet with Teitelbaum (sporting his mink hat)
in the chorus.

"If I were a rich man...."!
(H-m-m-m...."Felder on The Roof").

That's right folks, you've just been robbed and your money won't be spent in your neighborhood! Your local Vol ambulance group is crying for money and the local scout troop needs new equipment but your money is supporting a temple in Rockland county!!! Excuse me while I throw up. Who allows this crap to go on? Like Bloomberg would question his big supporters. And the political machine grinds on...
