And then there were two

So with Charles Ober and Tom Ognibene opting not to run again in the Council District 30 November election, that leaves Mr. Como and Ms. Crowley in head-to-head combat. As you will recall, Anthony bested Liz by 38 votes when the dust finally settled last June. While Two-Ton Tony will no doubt bring up the fact that Liz is still paying off her campaign finance fines from 2005, Dizzy can focus on Anthony's failure to pay the many fines connected to stop work orders on his hideous Middle Village McMansion in a timely manner (with more pending). Since the Daily News chose not to go there, I thought I would mention it.

God help Council District 30.

The Daily News doesn't have a clue.

It looks like those two morons, Como and Dizzie think the abbreviation "CD" as in CD30 stands for "Criminal District" for those with an IQ of 30.

Keep crying about this guy's house, because no one else minds it.

Not to defend the man, but isn't the contractor the one creating these penalties. As a homeowner, I don't want to pay fines because my contractor didn't play by the rules. I had the same problem when I got my roof repaired.

It showed I was overdue too when I was appealing the fine to DOB.

But Como is stilla jerk for other reasons, especially for building a house that damages the property values of the other homes on the block.

Maybe the governor is going to give Ober a job like he did for Sabini and Lafayette.

How come we either get no election of two disgusting pigs running against each other? Our system of local elections stinks

That is why we have dysfunctional government that does the bidding of the developers

Actually, it appears the city has an issue with it. My favorite was tearing the thing down without a permit and rebuilding contrary to approved plans.

Nice job, Daily Snooze, you worthless rag.

May Jon Lauinjer was too busy shopping for preppy hipster doofus clothes to investigate the Como violations. Or maybe he's moving on to tweed, which is more approprriate for his Tweeded reporting.

We'll see after election day in November when he loses big. Lizzie is certainly inexperienced but at least she's not in bed with the mob, developers, a rapist, a stripper drug addict, aging overweight swingers and a corrupt 75 year old politician who covers for molesters at a local HS.

SOME OF THE WEEKLY REPORTERS DO A MUCH BETTER JOB REPORTING THAN THAT DAILY NEWS REPORTER JOHN LAUINGER. OFTEN HIS ARTICLES ARE DATED AND HIS INFO PREDICTABLE. HE RARELY DIGS UP ANYTHING INTERESTING. SO CRAPPIE, WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT HE FAILED ONCE AGAIN TO REPORT THE COMPLETE PICTURE?

Elizabeth Crowley never considered Anthony Como has her competition. That's because Como is a dim bulb. She'll beat Como handily in November.

based on what, most of the 2k votes Tom received will go to Como, not that it matters either way we're fucked

REALLY? DO you think McLaughlin is any better? He's in with organized crime to the hilt, her brother IS a convicted rapist, which begs the question how will she vote on sex based registry laws? will she vote to confine her own brother's activities as for the rest of Como's acquintances they mirror the rest of Lizzie's family.

The "contractor" is his Father-in-Law. Tony is there almost every day overseeing the whole operation!

That ia a very uneducated statement.

Look into the history before you say something like that.

What do I keep hearing from the voters?: Let's vote for the person who is not corrupt? Let's vote for the person who is less corrupt than the other one?

THE WINNER: LET'S VOTE FOR THE ONE WHO IS LESS CORRUPT (IN THEIR MINDS).

I GIVE UP DC30. IN FACT, I'M CLOSE TO GIVING UP ON QUEENS.

Como still has that woman Kerri working in his office. Ask anyone who has worked with her about her after hours activities.

Nice going Como, when it comes out you're history. This guy is so clueless. Looks like Elizabeth Crowley is our only choice.

her after hours activities

are they illegal or just dis-tasteful. If it's the latter then you should spend some time around Dizzie's clan before jumping on the band wagon

What are those activities? Is she the swinger or the stripper that have constantly been alluded to in connection to Como? If so - so what? They're both legal activities and as long as she can do her job I don't see what the problem is. Not that I'm saying that she DOES her job - I've not had any interaction with her at all. Nor am I defending Como, who's an idiot gasbag. (Do we SERIOUSLY only get to choose between him and Crowley? Time for a write in campaign!)

How about drugs? Many people know it and many people have seen her wasted. Nice to know our councilman does a background check on his employees.
