From NY1:
Governor Andrew Cuomo has chosen September 13th to hold the special election for the congressional seat formerly held by Anthony Weiner.
That's also primary day.
Special elections will also be held for vacant seats in six Assembly districts which include seats in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn.
Politicker speculates on - brace yourselves, CD9 - Claire Shulman's chances of securing the nomination.

Claire running? Is it too late for Weiner to rescind his resignation?
What is "tweeding" and how does announcing the date of a special election qualify?
Hmmmmmm... Shillman? Wait til the Queens electorate find out that she was fined for illegally lobbying at Wallets Point. She's a shoe in!!!!
Why are all the speculative choices either elected or formerly elected? How about an outsider choice?
CUOMO THE HOMO !
Anon No. 5:
Gee, that's telling him off. And such a relevant comment!
the truth is "he is Pro-Homo Marriage Cuomo" and a one term governor .
I took Bromo, ya homo. Now I'm feeling myself...again!
Anon No. 7:
The truth is that he's going to get re-elected for a lot of reasons, not the least of which being that the Repubs don't have anyone capable of mounting a campaign against him. Deal with it.
Andy will outdo Mario and be a four term governor. He will retire in 2026.
Why are all the speculative choices either elected or formerly elected? How about an outsider choice?
Al Centola!!!!
the truth is that Andy Cuomo, as H.U.D. Director under W.J. CLINTON, was a player in the subprime loans financial downfall in the U.S.
Check out the Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac embezzlements and near bankruptcy .
btw, is W.J.CLINTON now the ASST.PRESIDENT CZAR just quietly appointed by "ONE TERM OBAMA" ?
Nope, and he's going to get re-elected, Gramps. Just watch.
