I hope they're ok!!! :( :( :( Fox online said one person is in critical condition :( :( :( We past it right after it happened, I live on 66th, and I might have been waiting there right then if I hadn't decided to drop my father off at work and take the car :( :( :(

This now happens at least thrice a year in Queens...like that poor woman last summer mowed down and killed in the parking lot of Flushing-Corona, or 3 years ago when some kid standing outside of Francis Lewis High School lost a leg due to some out of control driver.

It was a sad scene. I stand on that bus stop every morning to go to school and work in the city. I feel that i dodged the possibility of becoming a victom had i not arrived 5 min after. I have never in my life encountered what appeared to be a massacre. These inoccent bystanders were all laid out. Some even appeared to be dead. This tragety accured all because the designated driver was in a rush. He saw the car in front of him put the turning signal to make a left on i think 66st when he tried to go around speeding only to cause a tragety. This driver was negligent and should face penalties for his actions. My prayers go to the victoms and families. Now im not sure if i would want to stand there to wait for the bus again...

Let's ban all cars! (oops, sorry I was thinking of the inevitable "ban all bikes" if it had been a bike hitting someone....)

This was likely due to aggressive driving. The radio reported that the driver in the white sedan was apparently tailgating and in a failed attempt to overtake the car in front of him crashed into the bus stop.

No one on this board ever suggested bikes be banned from NYC.

first off the kid was in the left lane and as the the turn went into a curve he switched into the right lane but unfortunatley it was wet out so the car lost control... it was a older car which would mean shitty tires, brakes ect...
