Cops corral bull in Richmond Hill

Police taken on a strange chase in Queens
Eyewitness News
RICHMOND HILL (WABC) -- A cow on the loose led police on a chase through the Richmond Hill section of Queens last night.

Eyewitness News is told the brown bovine was corralled by a heard of police officers near the intersection of 107th Street and Park Lane South.

The cow was believed to be the same four-legged fugitive first spotted in Ozone Park, Queens, at around 9 a.m. yesterday. At that time, numerous officers responded and were hot on its tail. But the cow escaped the urban cowboys.

The cow apparently resurfaced at around 10 p.m. last night, near the intersection of Hillside Avenue and 121st street. Officers from the 102nd Precinct followed in patrol cars as the cow hoofed it down city streets.

Sorry to report that he died an hour later.
