This is about one block from the classic art deco "Cheyenne Diner"
which is also about to bite the dust unless it's moved!

Anyone interested?
The price tag is about $7,500
(if I'm correct) plus moving costs.

Gee, where is the Sacred Sites program at MAS?

You would think this is Queens.

Hate to rain on your self-loathing, but the Sacred Sites program is right now in Maspeth helping save St. Savior's.

And blowing through their entire budget for the boro on one project?

Great! Umm, what about the other 10 projects in need for attention?

The "Sacred Sites" program
has already given money
to restore the historic 17th century
Quaker meeting house in Flushing.

Any further gripes?

Wowsers! that is two projects in a borough that covers 36% of the city.

Take a look at their site: NY, NY NY, NY, Brooklyn, NY, NY, Bronx, NY, NY, NY, Brooklyn, NY, NY

Ah, but when they write for grants, they put down that they represent a 5 boro city of 8 million.

No wonder the preservation community appoints well behaved losers to rep Queens and no wonder they starve the real preservation efforts in Queens by ignoring the real preservation work by the grassroots.

They have been feasting on our portion for decades.
