Daniel Doctoroff, New York City's Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding, has announced his resignation, he will become president of Bloomberg LP effective in February.
Did you ever hear Doctoroff say anything that didn't somehow include a waste of perfectly good tax dollars? Whenever he showed up to support something, you just knew the project was a bad idea.
These rich guys with the big dreams... and big ideas for how the little guy should live. Enough. Get rid of them all.
Bloomie did us one solid. He saved us from Mark Green. For that we thank him. He was also too rich to be bought. OK, but the price was his arrogance.
I wonder how he got that job... Did he have to apply, send a cover letter, wait forever for an interview? That's how most of us (who have no connections) get a job.
Hey Mr. Doctoroff a venture capital veteran of Oak Hill Capital (Bass brother billionaire) never knew the insides of a subway car or bus, heavens never. A limosine big cat - this guy was born to deal making. His biggest of his career using all our taxpayer chips in the public sector on a stadium on the west side railyards that absolutely wanted and was rejected. One of his opponents, sleasy, stupid rich kid, Jimbo, owner of MGS beat him at his game! The little people of this small enough town, especially from Queens know better than revive and crown a public tyrant ever again, such as a modern day Robert Moses.
It's been mentioned by the media that Dan has been under criticism for ignoring the middle class in his rampant re-development "solutions" to reshape New York.
H-m-m-m..... that seems to have been reflecting badly on Der Mayor. So he probably told his henchman Doc to resign (ha, ha, ha,)..... and come work for him "privately" but much more directly.
This guy is like a bad penny that will never go away !

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

stumbled upon this. Some additional info on Doc's departure:

Naturally, this is a surprise to the Commissar, who has claimed to have "disassociated" himself from Bloomberg LP.
So, how is Doctoroff going to make the various Commissar initiatives "inevitable" and "irrevocable" to the next mayoral administration?
Umm...isn't there some sort of conflict of interest here?

Now who's next?
