From NY1:

Police are asking for the public's help locating a man who attempted to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl Tuesday in Southeast Queens.

Investigators say the suspect approached the girl from behind, grabbed her arm and dragged her to the side of a building where he tried to sexually assault her.

The girl screamed and the man ran from the scene.

The suspect is described as being about 40 years old, 5'8" tall with a thin build.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.

Isn't it strange that they're giving such a broad geographic area for this?

"Southeast Queens"

Why not at least narrow down the neighborhood a bit if they are looking for information? When they're looking for a perp in Manhattan, they say "near such and such a street/avenue".
