It is a weeping willow. They actually flourish in the climates of Brooklyn and Queens so if you have the property and the desire, you should plant one. Your neighbors and a whole lot of people just passing through amd most of all you will be glad you did.
That is a weeping willow and it is a tell-tale sign of a bad place to build. Willows only grow with "wet feet." A river is running by the roots of this plant. They are also notorious pipe-breakers. That is why you don't see many of them.
My street, 18th street in Astoria was called, "Willow Street" and it was filled with them.
If you want to plant one, choose a swampy location and keep it away from water pipes.
Willows are also the original source of the pain killing chemical that is the active ingredient in asprin--salicyclic acid.

There used to be one of those at 37th avenue between Bowne and Parsons in FRuSHANG!

the illegal aliens will cut it down and concrete it over.
