Yep, he's a terrorist!
Najibullah Zazi Admits Terror Links
MYFOXNY.COM - A senior U.S. intelligence official says a Colorado man at the center of a terrorism probe has indicated he's associated with al-Qaida and played a key role in a planned terror attack.
Najibullah Zazi has been questioned for the past three days in Denver by the FBI and is expected to face another interview tomorrow.
Zazi's lawyer says his client has never met with al-Qaida operatives and isn't involved in terrorism.
But an intelligence official in Washington tells The Associated Press that Zazi has indicated that he is directly linked with al-Qaida. The official also says Zazi played a crucial role in an intended terrorist attack but that it's not clear what the targets were. The plot is said to have been directed from outside the U.S.
From the Daily News:
Investigators probed a failed Queens truck rental for ties to a possible Al Qaeda bomb plot yesterday as a chief terror suspect tried making a deal to save his skin.
The New York end of the expanding federal probe centered on seven Afghan men who tried to rent the biggest truck at a Queens U-Haul on Sept. 9, sources told the Daily News.
The size of the vehicle involved - a 26-foot-long truck - suggested the conspirators wanted to pack it with explosives, sources said.
