From the Times Ledger:
City Councilman James Gennaro (D-Fresh Meadows) said fewer pickups of street-side garbage bins have amounted to mounds of trash piling up on borough streets, attracting rodents and causing residents to receive undeserved tickets. In response he announced Monday his plans to introduce legislation to mandate the city empty sidewalk trash cans daily.
“One unfortunate constant in New York City is the blight of overflowing litter baskets,” said Gennaro, who held a news conference with state Sen. Toby Stavisky (D-Whitestone) outside his office at 185-10 Union Tnpk. in Fresh Meadows Monday afternoon.
Gennaro will introduce the legislation within the next couple of weeks, and he said the bill would help address the trash that frequently spills from city baskets, especially those along Hillside Avenue, Union Turnpike and Queens Boulevard. These bins, Gennaro said, used to be serviced by a daily truck but now are emptied about two times a week, leaving trash to fall onto the sidewalk and attract rodents.

she always looks so photogenic
Gennaro has become an expert on rat-attracting trash through his association with Mr. Toby Stavisky, State Senator from Whitestone.
So, let's dump the trash.
Want to take some trash away?
Then start by dumping Toby & Jim!
But please cart them off to a very distant land fill so they can't find their way back!
Does she ever wash her hair?
send some of those trucks to willets point toby
Does she ever wash her hair?
She sends it out to the dry cleaners!
Toby looks like trash. Someone call Sanitation. Dump both of them. While they are collecting, make sure they grab Evan too.
It's funny that Gennaro's name appears on all those overflowing trash cans.
Has Jim Gennaro been getting orders again from his dead guru, Sri Chinmoy? (buried in a private tennis court on Normal Road & 165th street in Jamaica)
I can't imagine a dumber thing for them to spend their time on.
Isn't this guy out of that council seat yet? No wonder he's called the Big Snooze.
I still don't understand why a person should be a Senator because her dead husband was? What kind of qualification is that?
Instead of mandating daily pickups, Gennaro and Stavisky should investigate why the trash cans are overflowing.
Could it be local businesses or homeowners illegally dumping their trash in street trash cans?
The city council should enforce laws that are already on the books, before enacting new laws.
Has anyone ever seen the inside of Stavisky's office?
Has anyone ever gotten assistance from the Stavisky's with having to first submit the required written Chronology?
Has anyone ever seen the inside of Stavisky's office?
Can anyone find her office?
Stavisky's office is at 144-36 Willets Point Blvd.
Not exactly in the center of her district, so the location kinda sucks. But it's close to her house.
And her website appears to be using the latest Wordpress template. Not your fuddy-duddy official site.

And the only evidence that it is a state senator's office is an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet of paper with the state logo on it on the front door of what looks like a residential unit. Very impressive...NOT! You'd think Evan could have at least given her a shingle for her Queens headquarters. Instead, she looks like she has the shingles!!!!
I've seen Toby's office...from the outside only.
I was never invited in but I was met...or rather I was headed off...by an aide who took my info then promptly closed the door behind him.
With the Stav dynasty it's always been government from behind closed doors!
I agree with Sergey Kadinsky. I see my neighbors throw kitchen garbage bags in them. But when I tell the sanitation inspectors who are giving tickets for dirty sidewalks I get told its not his problem. I realize its unrealistic to assume inspectors can stake out cans to give tickets to these people but wouldn't it make the city money? Plus they wouldn't waste gas riding around the blocks.

Mommie and I like our alone time. Nothing shady going on there.
Who arranges these joint pseudo political efforts? Are we paying The Parkside Group (Lil Evan) for this?
