Doctoroff's slip of the tongue

Interesting quote from Deputy Mayor Dan Doctoroff in this article: Doctoroff Races To Protect Mayor's Development Plan

"For anything we want to do, we will come up with money," he said.

Now, feel free to list the things that the city has said they would really like to do, but has no problem using the excuse that they don't have the money to do it. I'll start...hiring more DOB inspectors.

Or does this quote only refer to "Bloomberg's development legacy", and if so, why?

As far as Doctor Dan
(and Doomberg) are concerned.....
there's always tons of money available
for over developing and tweeding the ignorant.

Notice how all the programs recently initiated
by Der Mayor are already having their budgets cut !

Thanks Mayor Mike!

Is that why there's no $$$$ (heh, heh, heh)
for a park at St. Saviour's.....
is there a "fiscal problem" ?

Even when NYC has a cash surplus on its books
its "fathers" refuse to buy its deserving residents
so much as an ice cream cone.....
those bastrardly grinches!

"For anything we want to do, we will come up with money," Doctoroff said, with the implication being that money alone is the sole hurdle the Bloomberg administration faces when undertaking a project, the fact about whether residents in the area support it or not being entirely irrelevent and besides the point.
