Mayor Mamdani's housing advocate aide is a self-loathing racist

 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/G-BxGsTXEAA3Omi?format=jpg&name=medium

NY Post

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s newly appointed tenant advocate called to “seize private property” and blasted homeownership as a “weapon of white supremacy” in a series of pro-Communist social media posts.

Cea Weaver, Mamdani’s new director of the city Office to Protect Tenants, made the statements and urged her followers to elect more Communists in several lecturing posts on her now-deleted X account that were unearthed by internet sleuths.

“Seize private property!” she said on June 13, 2018.

She later doubled down on that in a mini-manifesto in August 2019.

“Private property including any kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy,” she said then.

Weaver also pushed to “Elect more communists” in December 2017 — when a Harlem street corner was being renamed in honor of former Manhattan Rep. Vito Marcantonio, who was a Communist.

She also unloaded on law enforcement in a May 2020 rant that came during the furor over the death of George Floyd.

“Private property including any kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy,” she said then.

Without landlords how to do you build and maintain housing? You think the government is going to do it? Look at NYCHA [New York City Housing Authority complexes],” said Humberto Lopes, founder and CEO of the Gotham Housing Alliance.

“You put a system in place to destroy landlords. Why are you s–tting on us?,” he said.

Mamdani wants to freeze the rent on 1 million rent-regulated apartments — a move that would need signoff from the Rent Guidelines Board.

  NY Post

Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing the first major crisis of his week-old administration as his newly appointed tenant advocate’s radical views were exposed — including once branding homeownership a “weapon of white supremacy” and calling on the government to “seize private property.”

The series of past inflammatory social media posts by longtime housing activist Cea Weaver — Mamdani’s director of the Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants — unearthed this week sparked outrage and a warning from the Trump administration.

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the Department of Justice Harmeet Dhillon said the feds would be on alert for any potential violations tied to the Democratic Socialists of America member’s extreme views.

“We will NOT tolerate discrimination based on skin color,” Dhillon said in a Tuesday post on X. “It is ILLEGAL. [DOJ Civil Rights Division] is paying very close attention.”

Dhillon, in an interview with One America News, added that city government “should be on notice, they’re on high scrutiny.”

“We have several federal statutes that explicitly protect people of all colors and all different kinds of backgrounds and military status and so forth from the exact kind of land grabs and reallocation and redistribution that is being promised in New York,” she told the outlet.

Mamdani indicated Tuesday he was sticking by his DSA ally.

“We made the decision to have Cea Weaver serve as our executive director for the mayor’s office to protect tenants, to build on the work that she has done to protect tenants across the city, and we were already seeing the results of that work,” he told reporters following an unrelated news conference.

It's very interesting that Mayor Mamdani insists on keeping Weaver with her history of inflammatory and ignorant tweets equating white supremacy and owning a house (maybe she should visit Jamaica, South Jamaica, Canarsie, Brownsville, Springfield Gardens or even South Richmond Hill to name a few) yet he sacked his director of operations for her John Rocker style racist tweets on riding the A train to Far Rockaway where Jewish people live.

Looks like Mamdani is emulating his hero Bill De Blasio with the same kind of defiant hypocrisy he exhibited for 8 years. The dope from Park Slope has been succeeded by the Asswipe from Astoria.

Mayor Adams wet blow back gaffe

Fox 5 News

New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday called for migrants to be allowed to work as lifeguards as the city faces a shortage for the role -- arguing that many are "excellent swimmers."

Adams was asked at a press conference about a lifeguard shortage in the city as Memorial Day nears and with the summer months approaching.

He said the situation could be helped "If we had a migrant and asylum seeker plan that states those jobs that we are…in high demand we could expedite."

"How do we have a large body of people that are in our city, and country, that are excellent swimmers and, at the same time, we need lifeguards -- and the only obstacle is that we won’t give them the right to work to become a lifeguard," he said.

"That just doesn’t make sense."

He listed off other occupations, including food service workers and nurses, where the Big Apple may face shortages.

"We have all these eligible people waiting to work with the skills we need to fill the jobs but we are unable to allow them to work because bureaucracy is in the way," he said. "That just does not make sense."

The city has been grappling with a migrant crisis that has enveloped the city in recent years. Officials recently said that there have been more than 1950,000 migrants who have entered the shelter system since 2022, and more than 65,000 are still in the shelter system.

Julie Won's husband got racist on social media and had access to info from City Council hearings

 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FnepNk5X0AAbsdz?format=png&name=small

 NY Daily News

Democratic Councilwoman Julie Won’s husband — who is also her campaign manager — was banned from Twitter after spewing the N-word and other insensitive language on the platform years ago, the Daily News has learned.

Noh, a political strategist who married Won in 2020 and then managed her 2021 campaign for a western Queens Council seat, thumbed out the questionable tweets over a decade ago through his @EugeneNoh handle, screenshots show. The posts are no longer publicly viewable due to Noh’s account suspension, but The News got hold of a cache of screengrabs of the since-deleted missives.

“F—k dude. Get here soon n---a,” Noh tweeted at another user on Nov. 22, 2011.

Noh, who is Asian and was 20 at the time, first denied writing the social media messages when contacted by The News.

“I have no idea what’s going, man,” he said. “It’s not me, and I mean, clearly, it’s not me ... I don’t have a Twitter. I don’t recall having one, especially over a decade ago.”

But after The News sent Noh a screenshot of the tweet and one of his Twitter profile page, Noh said that he “must have forgotten about this account.”

“It looks like I had forgotten that I had a Twitter,” he said. “When you sent me the screenshots, I saw like, ‘Oh no, that’s clearly me’ ... It looks like I tweeted like 150 times over six years. So it’s like a pretty miniscule part of my life ... That’s why I forgot.”

Noh also posted and reposted eyebrow-raising tweets about gays and people with speech impediments.

“I don’t care what anybody says, being homosexual is still not as gay as Twilight,” read a Dec. 6, 2011 post retweeted by Noh from an account called “Men’s Humor.”

A few months earlier, Noh wrote in another post: “Lisp has an s in it so ppl with the condition can self-diagnose themselves, methinks.”

”A decade ago as a young man, I said and did many things that were obnoxious, attention-seeking or flat-out offensive — a lot of which I regret right now as a father and as a husband,” Noh told The News. “Really, it’s no wonder Julie refused to date me until I turned 30.”

It’s unclear exactly when or why Noh’s Twitter handle got suspended, but it was active as recently as 2018. Twitter did not return requests for comment on why it expelled Noh, but a disclaimer on his deleted account states it was suspended for violating Twitter’s rules.

Won did not return requests for comment.

In addition to letting him run her 2021 campaign, Won consulted her husband last year on a key appointment to her Council office, according to the emails reviewed by The News.

“I think she will be good,” Won emailed Noh on July 13 from her official government account with a job application attached from Jenna Laing, who would go on to be hired as her Council communications director.

When asked about this, Noh said he doesn’t “make decisions or anything like that for Julie as Council member.”

“I’m her husband, yes. I’m her campaign manager. So there is a firewall. Anytime she asks me my opinion on something I may give it, but I am genuinely disinterested in what happens in the Council office,” he said. “I, in my estimation, exist pretty much only to compete and to campaign, and that’s what I enjoy doing.”

Won also looped in her husband on multiple emails last summer from the New York City Districting Commission sent directly to Council members seeking input on last year’s redrawing of the Council district map.

But in an email chain in May, Noh indicated he’s aware he shouldn’t be involved in government business as a non-Council staffer.

“Remove me from this chain; I’m not on the government team,” he wrote on May 18 to a lobbyist from the Bolton-St. Johns firm who included him on an email to Won about a discretionary funding request for an LBGTQ community group.

Though sent to Won’s office, the lobbyist’s email was addressed to Queens Councilwoman Linda Lee, and Noh capped off his reply: “Also, you either mistakenly sent this to the wrong council member, or you’re racist.”

Council members are barred under the City Charter from disseminating information to non-Council staff that has been obtained as part of their “official duties” and “which is not otherwise available to the public."

Democrat supremacist Donovan Richards plays race card without a full deck

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FgvP1PPXgAYE2Si?format=jpg&name=small

Queens Chronicle

A series of online comments begun Thursday between Borough President Donovan Richards and Councilman Bob Holden (D-Maspeth) escalated vitriol even by election season standards, including accusations of “white supremacy,” using “racist dog whistles” and “unhinged behavior.”

Holden, who has endorsed U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-Suffolk) over Gov. Hochul in next Tuesday’s election, on Thursday posted a photo of the council’s Common Sense Caucus and comments denouncing Hochul’s support of congestion pricing.

The measure would, if approved by the federal government, allow an as yet undetermined surcharge for driving into Manhattan south of 60th Street to raise money for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Estimates have run between $9 and $23. The group has called on Hochul to put it to a vote via referendum

“What is she afraid of? The people have a right to decide,” the post asked.

Richards, from his private Twitter account, replied in less than an hour.

“After he loses this election let’s elect an actual democrat,” Richards tweeted. Holden and the entire council are up for election next year, two years early, because of the 2020 U.S. Census. It didn’t take long for the councilman to reply.

“I’m a Democrat longer than you’ve been alive,” he wrote. “If the party platform is now to further tax its constituents, including those with low income and seniors, you can have it. It’s time to elect a Borough President who actually works for Queens, not against it.”

“So why are you surrounded by republicans?????” Richards asked.

“I guess @KalmanYeger is a Republican. Breaking news,” Holden replied.

Yeger is a conservative Democrat from Brooklyn.

The temperature kicked up several degrees when a poster with the handle Secret Squirrel @sheila.sq defended Holden.

“He’s one of the few that represents us,” she posted. Richards’ reply was direct.

“yeah white supremacy.”

“White supremacy!?? WOW... that’s actually hysterical,” Secret Squirrel replied.

Yeger chimed in a few hours later.

“Drunk tweeting in the middle of the day, Donovan?”

To which Holden posted a GIF of actor Will Ferrell in a movie where he shakes uncontrollably while trying to sip a glass of wine with the comment “Donovan right now ...”

Richards, in an interview on Friday, said the white supremacy comment was not aimed at Holden’s district or the congestion pricing plan, with which he has some issues of his own, including the possibility of a $23 fee.

“This is over his support of Lee Zeldin,” Richard said. “Democrats should stick with Democrats. And this election is high stakes.”

Where was Donnie's twitter and drunk courage when he stood with "white supremacist" "Republican" Holden when they were promoting rain gardens not long ago? And where were his hardcore "Democrat" values when Republican Joann Ariola stood next to him that morning? The only supremacy going on here is for the Democrat Party.

Assembly Member Jenifer Rajkumar addresses racial hate assault on city bus

NY Daily News

A white woman riding a Queens MTA bus was bashed in the head during a confrontation with three Black passengers who told her they “hate white people,” police sources Thursday.

The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.

The 57-year-old victim was riding a Q53 bus in Woodhaven when she got into an argument with three Black women or girls about 6:50 p.m. Saturday.

As the exchange heated up, one of the women hit the victim over the head with a blunt object, leaving her bleeding from the head, police said.

“I hate white people...the way they talk,” the victim recalled her attackers saying, police sources said.

The assailants rushed off the bus at Woodhaven Blvd. and Jamaica Ave.. They ran off and have not been caught.

Community board profiling

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FOAmFXPXEAApKZP?format=jpg&name=small

NY Post

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards is pushing a quota-like selection system for the borough’s 14 community boards in a controversial bid at gaining more diversity on the panels, which weigh in on virtually all local projects, The Post has learned.

Richards appoints half the members to the advisory boards and local council members the other half. The boards often wield influence on key land use issues as well as on locating bars and restaurants in neighborhoods and sidewalk cafe permits.

A source forwarded to The Post a recent letter that Richards sent to council members recommending new appointments based on his affirmative action plan that takes into account the current composition of the boards with regards to race, age and sexual identity as well as census data.

For Community Board 9 covering Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill, Ozone Park and Woodhaven, for example, Richards said council members appointments should be “between the ages of 16-45, 56-65, of Asian, Black and Latino/x background and female/gender non-conforming.”

The CB 9 district has a large Hispanic population and a growing south Asian and central Asian population. But Latinos, who make up 40 percent of the population, accounted for only 16 percent of the 47 community board members.

Queens Councilman Robert Holden, who makes selections to CB5, blasted the quota-type system.

“We should appoint people who are most committed to their neighborhoods and who are the best candidates. You don’t look at race, ethnicity or age,” said Holden, who served on CB 5 for 30 years before being elected to office.

He expressed concern that racial and ethnic preferences, while well-intended, could lead to accusations of discrimination.

“You don’t want to be charged with racism or ageism,” Holden said.

For CB6, which takes in Forest Hills and Rego Park, Richards recommends selecting new board members who are ages 16 to 35, “of Asian ethnic background based on the latest census data” as well as women.

The neighborhoods have a growing population of Bukharan Jews from central Asian countries, particularly Uzbekistan, as well as Chinese immigrants, who combined make up about a third of the population. But only five board members of Asian descent, or 13 percent, served on the board.

The borough president also recommended younger and Asian and Latino appointees in CB5 that covers Ridgewood, Glendale, Middle Village and Maspeth.

Mayor Adams tells reporters to manufacture consent for him

Impunity City

Oh, boy, looks like Mayor Eric Adams has let the job get to him or he’s in over his head, even with that massive ego he’s been carrying since primary election day last summer. That same ego is also getting bruised by New York City’s legacy media press, which at one point the nearly two month Hizzoner welcomed with open arms and treated with reverence that was entirely absent for 8 years when Bill de Blasio was stifling them and then suppressing them in the last 2 years of this pandemic. But 45 days later, which has seen a massive rise in all index crimes and his failed attempt to persuade Albany’s obstinate and arrogant legislative leaders to reform the bail reform laws that have exacerbated those crimes, Mayor Adams has decided to scapegoat journalists for his disappointing return to the city for the way they wrote about it and told them he wasn’t going to answer their questions anymore unless it’s about the issue or the theme of whatever he’s publicly speaking about in future "media availabilitys"

Emily's race baiting friend

Image

Looks like Emily Gallagher's pay to play urbanish trivia game went well last week. But yesterday, on MLK day, she told her gentry followers to fund a Black man running for Assembly in East New York.

Image

Going by this odd looking photo, Mr Alleyne has a unique way of showing how he embodies the iconic civil rights leader values by his body language. Because that is sign language for the word "cracker".

This sort of makes that notorious OK sign a little less racist now.

Update: Keron lost to the Brooklyn Machine candidate in a blow out.

Black Lives Matter calls The Blaz's vaccine mandate racist

Fox News

A leader of the Greater New York chapter of Black Lives Matter says Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is targeting Black people with his mandate requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter certain businesses in the city, and warned that continuation of the dictate could spark an "uprising" similar to last year's George Floyd protests.

The threat comes from chapter co-founder Chivona Newsome, who unleashed on city leaders during a demonstration earlier this week outside a restaurant that allegedly denied service to a group of Black would-be patrons.

"Seventy-two percent of Black people in this city from ages 18 to 44 are unvaccinated," Newsome shouted into a megaphone.

"So what is going to stop the Gestapo, I mean the NYPD, from rounding up Black people, from snatching them off the train, snatching Black people off the bus?" she added.

"We’re putting this city on notice. Your mandate will not be another racist social distance practice," Newsome went on to say. "Black people are not going to stand by, or you will see another uprising. And that is not a threat. That is a promise. Because it is our job to defend liberty, and that is what we are here to do."

The mandate, announced by de Blasio in early August, requires that both workers and customers of certain categories of businesses like restaurants, gyms, and movie theaters provide proof that they have been vaccinated against the coronavirus in order to enter.

But since the rule went into effect, there have been reports of disputes at several establishments, which have also been burdened with manning the front lines of its enforcement.

Besides the other outlandish claims this duo is making, the NYPD is not tasked with enforcing the fascist and discriminatory vaccine mandate. Yet.

Can we not make everything about race?

From the NY Post:

Mayor Bill de Blasio said the city would be wise to “reassess” the ranked-choice voting system if evidence suggests there were racial and class disparities in how voters used the instant runoff during the June primary.

“I like it if there was relative equality in how people utilize their ballots. In other words: if in more privileged and less privileged communities you saw consistent voting one through five, or as close to that as possible, everyone maximizing the power of their ballot.”

“If it turns out, conversely, that we see a real skew, then I think it’s time to reassess, because what I don’t want to see a system that enfranchises some people and not others,” de Blasio said.

Black and white voters made full use of ranked-choice voting at about equal rates, according to exit polling conducted on primary day. Forty-five percent of white voters used all five spots while 43 percent of black voters did, according to the good government group-commissioned survey.

But the poll also found that 25 percent of black voters cast ballots that voted for just one mayoral candidate — more than double the 10 percent of ballots cast by white voters that ranked just one candidate.

Of the 17 percent of New Yorkers who picked just one candidate, 65 percent told pollsters they were settled on one candidate in the race; just 28 percent of the group said they were unfamiliar with ranked-choice voting.

Ah, we see what you did there, Big Bird. It's the old "Black voters are too dumb to understand" trope. Black voters overwhelmingly voted for and participated in RCV and frankly, this "concern" is insulting. They also voted overwhelmingly for Eric Adams and only Eric Adams because he was the only person running that they identified with. Period.

It's completely logical to only vote for one candidate, not because of a misunderstanding of RCV, but because the other candidates are so awful, you don't want to rank any of them. Why progressives believe that RCV is only successful and legitimate if all 5 bubbles are filled in is a bit disturbing. People are free to vote for as many or as few candidates as they wish. The problem was not the way RCV was conducted, but rather the way the results were tabulated and released. It was, and continues to be, a freaking clown show.

City Council candidate curses out women and calls them nazis

NY Daily News

A potty-mouthed City Council wannabe in Queens has gone after a number of women on social media — along with joking about rape and apparently challenging a man to a fight after getting into an argument on Facebook.

Steve Behar, a Democrat running to represent eastern Queens, recently came under fire for a sexist tweet targeting opponent Linda Lee. He suggested her message boiled down to saying, “Vote for Me I’m a Mommy!”

Since then, more outrageous social media posts by Behar have surfaced.

Steve Behar

“F--k you ... You’re a stupid racist c--t!” he wrote a Long Island woman on Facebook.

“You’re a Nazi c--t!” he raged in a follow-up post.

Social media post from Steve Behar.

Outgoing Councilman Barry Grodenchik is backing Behar, his staff attorney, to take over his seat.

Among Behar’s ravings about Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Behar wrote on Facebook over two years ago, “This woman is not credible and I refuse to destroy someone’s career without any due process.”

Around the same time, he made another inflammatory post.

“Come on now! Who didn’t grope and rape girls in high school? Democrats are such snowflakes!” Behar wrote. He told The News he was being sarcastic.

In separate posts, he called former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos a “dumb b---h” and former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen “Nazi Barbie.”

Social media post from Steve Behar.

While debating policy with a Long Island man, Behar raged on Facebook, “You prove you’re more stupid and more of a p---y with each post!”

Update: Where Behar gets fed his lunch and resorts to unjustifiable race baiting and shaming

Update: Steve rages full on at a BLM protest last year.

NY Daily News

A Queens City Council wannabe’s profanity and rage aren’t just confined to the online world.

Steve Behar went off on an expletive-filled tirade against Black Lives Matter demonstrators gathered at a Jamaica, Queens, park last summer.

“You have no f--king business being here!” he yelled at activists gathered in Major Mark Park in June 2020, according to video posted to Twitter.

When a demonstrator interjects, “We all have business being here,” Behar snaps back: “F--k you! You’re pathetic!”

Video shows him ranting — with his face mask on his forehead — in spite of protests from a man who noted there were children present.

“You co-opted a Black Lives Matter protest for your own agenda!” Behar fumed while pumping his fist. “You should be ashamed!”

Asked by a demonstrator why Behar was there, he yelled: “I’m here to show my little niece and nephew that Black Lives Matter!”

The demonstration was one of many across the city after Black Minnesota man George Floyd was killed by a white police officer in May 2020.

Out of about 100 demonstrators at the park that day, some were protesting local electeds for taking campaign cash from police unions, according to attendee Ramy Noaman, who shot the video.

Racist defends another racist by calling someone else racist

ANALYZING MEDIA IMAGES: One District 30 candidate, Juan Ardila, has already been accused of racist social media posts, while the other candidate, Bob Holden, recently used a mailer to remind people that he's a Democrat with an Asian wife. But in this fierce battle of reputations, which candidate deserves more scrutiny? - Phil Campbell

Queens Free Press

I am a writer and a homeowner living in City Council District 30, which represents Middle Village, Maspeth, Glendale, and parts of Ridgewood, Woodhaven, and Woodside.

Pretty dull intro, right? Right. Not many people outside of my district care about this city council race, which has Juan Ardila challenging the incumbent Bob Holden.

The New York Post, though, found a reason to care. It splashed a scandalous story in its pages about how the Ardila had posted several homophobic and racist slurs on his Facebook page ten years ago, when he was still a teenager.

Ardila, who boasted endorsements from groups like the LGBT club the Stonewall Democrats of New York, was quick to apologize. “I fully understand how wrong and hurtful that language is and I wholeheartedly apologize,” Ardila, 27, said.

That might have been the end of it, but Holden, whom The Post identified as a moderate, fumed at Ardila's egregious teen behavior. Holden called Ardila’s apology “contrived” and "meaningless” since it apparently came too late.

But then Holden went further: “There is no place anywhere in the Democratic Party, on the New York City Council or in the City of New York for the kind of racist, homophobic, misogynistic language that Mr. Ardila has publicly posted on social media.”

Hold on. Now this is interesting. I've been following Holden’s career since his slender political victory as a Republican nominee in 2017, and an enormous question loomed for me after I read his indignant response: Has the Bob Holden of 2021 forgotten everything about the Bob Holden of the past ten years?

QC:

What's with that caption about Holden's wife? The mailer doesn't focus on her. Are Asian women not supposed to be seen?

Is this progressive?

JQ:

When I saw the bio of this intrepid reporter, my fauxgressive radar started going wild.

He had quite A LOT to say about Gothamist's conspiracy laden post supporting Ardila's theory that Holden was colluding with the Republican party to get on their ballot on their exclusivity comment thread (and also a lot more about the Juniper Berry mag). Which I screen-shot when a QC reader told me her comment on their disqus feed got memory holed.
 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_1SHiz5pVjsED4BivZk77wMuq2jXX4nt5o7Ap5OBlaKmR-_aof0XE2PvnfcbvuftnFFtLnl0LoG4yAX2oJACMpJah89OIuwBFSoITuSDD998QUiUIuVx52xbJgbUt92UGNtF1OnCr-Mc/s1389/Screenshot_2021-05-21+Challenger+Accuses+Queens+Democratic+Council+Incumbent+Of+Colluding+With+Republicans.png

What I find fascinating about his shitpost is how he called Holden an ineffective legislator, which has an element of truth to it considering the dominant influence of fauxgressive ideologues the likes of Speaker Corey Johnson, Jimmy Van Bramer, Brad Lander, Steven Levin, Carlina Rivera etc. etc. etc. that hardly votes against Mayor's de Blasio's donor and agents of the city influenced policy decisions.

Gothamist immediately closed the comment thread after 8 comments, giving Phil's screed the feel of an additional op-ed to bolster the Holden as Republican and racist narrative and a publicly funded digital publication proxy endorsement of Ardila (Gothamist is run by WNYC, for now).

This isn't journalism or even editorializing, this is JuanAnon

Juan Ardila: The arc of a woke campaign

Whoa, tough words, there! You seem like a rather confident candidate. Great job landing this all important interview with a Bushwick publication which is in a different borough from where you are running. Hey, you gotta start somewhere!
Great form showing up at an "anti-racism" protest outside your opponent's house. That'll show everyone just how seriously woke you are!
Ooooooh womp, womp!

From the NY Post:

“Chinese Americans denounce Juan Ardila for the use of the highly racist ch-nk and n-word, and the flagrant disparagement of Jews, women, gays and lesbians,” said Wai Wah Chin founding president of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance of Greater New York.

“A candidate for elected office showing such blatant sexism, racism and bigotry is despicable and horrifying. It is precisely this kind of hateful speech that leads to hateful action, to horrific attacks against Asians and other groups, such as the vicious attack in East Harlem two days ago that left a 61-year old Asian man in a coma.

“Ardila is absolutely unfit for elected office,” Wah Chin said.

Hey, at least he is an equal opportunity hater! Mental note to future candidates: Delete blatant bigotry from your social media prior to campaign kickoff...

Now where are the statements from the following tweeders?

That's a really impressive list of "like-minded" individuals and groups, there, Juan! Congrats!

Juan and done

NY Post

The liberal candidate challenging moderate Queens Councilman Robert Holden in the June Democratic primary recently yanked down racist and homophobic slurs he posted online as a teen.

Political hopeful Juan Ardila, 27 — who has the backing of many progressive pols and unions — made derogatory comments about Asians, gays, women and Jews and used the N-word in mainly Facebook posts while in high school from 2009 to 2011.

Ardila referred to Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao as a “bumbass c—k” in a posting a decade ago while saying the pugilist would lose a fight, screengrabs obtained by The Post show.

Ardila and a pal also spewed anti-gay slurs when discussing the merits of singer John Mayer.

“ur the gay one nway u f-g crusader,” wrote Ardilla, who used “homo” in his posts, too.

Ardila was just endorsed by the city’s oldest gay Democratic club, the Stonewall Democrats.

After garnering the club’s support last week, Ardila tweeted, “I look forward to working together for a more just and inclusive city. It’s an honor to have your endorsement.”

In his younger years, the candidate also spewed misogynistic words such as “bitch” and “c–t.”

In addition, while discussing the movie “2012,” he said, “Every Juan s–ts on a Jew!!!”

He also referred to one of his friends as a “dumb polack” and hurled the N-word.

The candidate began scrubbing his accounts or making his posts private about 10 days ago, said a source familiar with the matter.

Ardila told The Post on Sunday that he had no comment “at this moment.”

Ready for the funny part? Because here comes the funny part...

Ardila’s candidacy has the support of the Working Families Party, District Council 37, Local 32 BJ-SEIU, health workers Local 1199-SEIU, the Hotel Trades Council, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Councilmen Brad Lander and Jimmy Van Bramer and state Sen. Michael Gianaris.

Bigoted graffiti found on sidewalks, fences and trees in Lindenwood

 https://thenypost.files.wordpress.com/2019/11/racist-graffiti-39.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=618&h=410&crop=1

A hateful vandal scrawled “F–K WHITE PEOPLE” in front of a Queens home and defaced nearby trees and fences with other profane messages, police said Friday.
The spray-painted graffiti, written in black and underlined with red, was discovered on the sidewalk in front of a home on 151st Avenue near 81st Street in the neighborhood of Lindenwood on Thanksgiving morning, cops said.
Found on nearby trees were spray-painted messages reading “F–K WHITE,” and simply, “F–K,” police and witnesses told The Post.
The messages were discovered at around 4 a.m. and reported to police at around 10 a.m., according to authorities.
Nearby fences were also found defaced with graffiti that read: “I NEED P—Y ASAP,” and “ONE DAY I WILL COME BACK TO THIS AND SEE HOW SUCCESSFUL I AM!”
“It’s not safe. We’re afraid,” said Lina Bachour, 38, who lives at the home where the “F–K WHITE PEOPLE” graffiti was scrawled in front of.
It was not yet clear if Bachour or anyone else was specifically targeted.
Another neighbor, Barry Rachnowitz, 70, said that his part of his fence was spray-painted in red graffiti.
“This is horrible,” he said. “There are no words to share my disgust right now. It is definitely a hate-crime, especially what they wrote on the [sidewalk].”
Rachowitz added: “I can’t understand how someone can have so much hate in their heart towards a stranger … Hopefully the person will be caught and punished.”
Resident Anthony Carecchia, 20, said the vandalism was “very surprising to see.”
“You don’t expect something like this in this neighborhood,” he said, noting, “It’s a pretty diverse neighborhood, so I’m really surprised.”

Developers are using racism to eradicate home ownership (but not how you would expect)

NYC Gentrification Watch

You know, just as I think that Big Development couldn’t sink any lower, along comes an even worse new low. It’s the type of low that has me now certain that there has got to be a Big Development think tank cooking up talking points and then disseminating them to dopes in the media too dumb to question what they’re told and too eager to virtue signal what wonderful progressives they are.

There’s no question in my mind that this is what’s happening now when it comes to gentrification. I say that because funny how every so often, a talking point having absolutely no basis in reality will seem to have popped up out nowhere and get repeated among several media and social media outlets.

Especially interesting about it is how it never has any clear origins. It’s just this mysterious thing that emerged out of the blue one day, yet keeps getting stated as if it’s this long established, self-evident, indisputable fact that everyone has known for ages.

Take this talking point, for example–single-family houses/single-family house zoning is racist against blacks and therefore should be eliminated for their benefit. This is one that’s been been picking up steam over the past 4-5 years, to the point where now it’s spurring legislation. As of 2018, municipalities across the country have begun pushing for or have actually gone ahead with banning single-family housing in an attempt to “free” po’ black folks from the racial oppression that is single-family home ownership.

Try to do research on where this talking point originated and like every other suspicious talking point of unknown origins, there isn’t a specific person or entity we can trace it back to. It’s as if it came out of thin air just a few years ago. But of course it’s as if it came out of thin air.  The reason why is that this “single-family houses are racist” talking point is bullshit–Grade A, top of the line nonsense that was cooked up and then surreptitiously disseminated to the public, courtesy of useful idiots in social and mass media. But before I expose this cynically crafted talking point for the manure that it is, let’s play Devil’s Advocate by explaining the “logic” behind it.

The logic is that single-family houses and single-family house zoning were invented as a form of racist segregation. For example, say the racist white guard in the town of Shelbyville are getting nervous that blacks are beginning to move into middle class, lily white neighborhoods. How to keep the darkies in their place? No problem-o: zone the areas you want to “keep white” by designating certain areas of Shelbyville as exclusively single-family house zones. The idea is that since houses are too cost-prohibitive for blacks but affordable to whites, they will have no choice but to live in segregated neighborhoods outside of these zones.

How do we know that single-family housing is racist? Why, look at the decades of redlining against blacks when they tried buying houses! Look at the decades of all sorts of other chicanery designed to prevent blacks from owning property! Isn’t that more proof than you need that single-family house zones are racist and need to be abolished? Hell, they’re so racist, let’s not even call them “single-family house zones” anymore. Call them what they really are–exclusionary zoning. So, let’s save black people from exclusionary zoning. Let’s get rid of single-family house zones today!

Sounds logical, doesn’t it? Except there’s a problem. The problem is that it’s based on a gross oversimplification of the complex relationship between housing and racism in the United States. It’s about as dumb as claiming that trees are racist because blacks used to be lynched from them.

Bigoted graffiti found on Rockaway Beach resort club

New York Times

On the Friday evening before the final big weekend of summer, members of one of New York’s last private beach clubs, the Silver Gull in Queens, received an ominous email.

The club’s playground would be closed, the manager wrote, “due to the recent and increasing incidence of vandalism from within the club.”

Word soon spread that the playground had been covered with racist and anti-Semitic graffiti. “Heil Hitler” was scrawled in large block letters. White walls were smeared with a red swastika and racial slurs targeting black people. The words “gas chamber” were painted on a door, according to photos shared with The New York Times.

The graffiti at the club, which sits on federal seashore, was quickly painted over by the management, according to a club member, and the police were called.

Sgt. Richard Firrito, a spokesman for the United States Park Police in New York, said the incident was being investigated as a bias crime.

Investigators believe a group broke into a shed that the club uses for arts programs on Friday and vandalized the interior. The vandals then proceeded to “trash the room,” Sergeant Firrito said. He first said the incident appeared to have happened after the beach club had closed for the day, but later clarified that it apparently had occurred during opening hours.

Harold Bretstein, a son of Holocaust survivors who has been a member of the oceanfront club for about 20 years, said the incident hurt.

“You can gloss it over. You can talk about it being a prank,” Mr. Bretstein said. “But it’s much more than a prank, especially in terms of the times we’re living in when you’re seeing a rise in anti-Semitism everywhere.”

Ulrich opponent appeared in racist, misogynistic, anti-cop rap videos

Councilman Eric Ulrich's campaign today released a video denouncing Mike Scala for his racist and sexist rap lyrics. The video follows news that Mike Scala or his supporters circulated a racially charged flyer in the Democratic Primary.

Scala's songs include racist lines such as "Me and rap go together like Spanish chicks and strollers" and lyrics that promote violence against police officers such as "Every time these cops talk, I wanna break their jawbone."

Mike Scala was endorsed by the Queens Machine. This makes somewhat of a trifecta - Elizabeth Crowley, who has a 16 year history of homophobia and is okay with her campaign workers verbally abusing women was also endorsed by the Joe Crowley clan. And let's not forget that an indictment didn't get in the way of them endorsing Ruben Wills. And they love Bill de Blasio as well...
