99 and a half won't do

NY Post

Mayor Eric Adams rolled out a record-busting $99.7 billion budget proposal on Tuesday fueled in part by an uptick in tax revenues, spending that he argued is essential for the Big Apple’s comeback from the coronavirus pandemic.

Adams unfurled his spending pitch to the City Council with great fanfare during a 50-minute speech at the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, during which he highlighted his new anti-gun and homelessness initiatives, hiring hundreds of new corrections officers for embattled jail system and new funding to clean the Big Apple’s streets and parks.

“This budget puts people — especially those who have often been left behind — front and center. Success will be measured by how much we accomplish, not how much we spend,” he said. “Despite the massive shocks to our system in the past two years, our city enters fiscal year 2023 on strong financial footing.”

Hizzoner’s new spending plan would increase the Police Department’s annual budget from the $5.4 billion authorized by lawmakers to $5.6 billion and spending on the Department of Homeless Services would rise from $2.2 billion to $2.3 billion.

The massive Department of Education would see its allocation trimmed back from $31.6 billion to $31 billion, primarily due to enrollment declines and leaving hundreds of unfilled positions open.

Bombshell report reveals blue states used COVID relief to fund CRT.
It always comes down to this in America. The phrase "follow the money" came out of Watergate.
So glad we put our kids in private school at the beginning of covid.
I guess the “conspiracy theorist” who said schools are re-education camps doesn’t sound so crazy now huh.

@"Bombshell report reveals blue states used COVID relief to fund CRT."

And where did you read this report? "Putin News" ? "The Dr. NPC_doofus newsletter" ?
Oops, sorry, you probably can't read, and you probably have no clue what CRT is either. Tucker just told you it's bad, so you got to whine about it.

Anyone here remember when this country was about freedom of speech, tolerance, hard work, and a press that was keeping our politicians accountable ?

If people still believe their mainstream rhetoric I actually feel sorry for them. I mean how many times do you got to be bamboozled before you get it.

Just think Keiths could have looked something like this.

PART Two:

ALSO:

@Just think Keiths could have looked something like this.

Exactly right; now the Keiths is a repurposed, urban blighted ruin. Former Community Board 9 District Leader, Mary Ann Carey and I (President and Founder of CIVIC VIRTUE TASK FORCE) have battled against a polluted sea of local and regional, uncaring politicians to keep, repair and maintain the gifted statue inside of Kew Gardens Plaza, as it was designated to remain, since former Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia sent the towering statue from City Hall to Kew Gardens as a message to ALL QUEENS County politicians to clean up their graft. Even the 'LAMESTREAM'media got involved (i.e., Greg Mocker, WPIX-11, Tony Aiello, WCBS-TV), especially when on Friday, February 25, 2011, the former, disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner held a press conference inside of Kew Gardens Plaza at the foot of the statue to declare his proposal to sell Civic Virtue on Craig's List).

The fake leaders at QUEENS Borough Hall, fake art curator, Jonathan Kuhne (of the Parks Department) and the MIA Landmark Commission had no interest in preservation and conservation of anything in QUEENS, except to artificially preserve their bloodsucking, politically failed careers (all of which feed off of their taxpayer funded subjects, like a blood-and-emotionally-starved vampire).

Likewise, sycophantic, Robert Manes puppet, Claire Schulman ignored her politically inherited, fiduciary responsibilities to preserve, conserve and maintain Kew Gardens Plaza, as well as the Triumph of Civic Virture statue that she, and two other, self-appointed public art censor, borough president successors deemed unjustifiably misogynistic, which is why this precious work of Italian marble in now presiding (languishing) over a Brooklyn graveyard among the dead and buried, since December 15, 2012——replete with an hastily slapped on coating of white paint to cheaply conceal all of the marble surface's 'sugaring' due to decades of acid rain that required a petrologist to correctly repair because of Schulman's willful neglect——revictimizing Civic Virtue all over again, after staggering decades of neglect, followed by the statue's exterior desecration by way of Civic Virtue's egregious repainting (marble must never be covered with paint; it requires professional petrology services as the ONLY way to repair, preserve and conserve historic works of art).

If a prized movie theater of yore, and a towering Italian marble work of art (that was capriciously and arbitrarily robbed from Kew Gardens Plaza, with impunity) don't stand a chance at preservation, conservation and restoration——then what possible rights, freedoms, liberties and democracy do We, the People continue to falsely hold out hope for, when the politically failed, corporate obedient leadership scourges are still playing the same (and ONLY game) of: 'Delay, Deny——And Hope That You Die?' Help is an illusion, QUEENS peons——and political trust is for suckers!

@If people still believe their mainstream rhetoric I actually feel sorry for them. I mean how many times do you got to be bamboozled before you get it.

❝One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It's simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we've been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.❞ ——Carl Sagan

❝Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don’t. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls. They got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying. Lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I’ll tell you what they don’t want. They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That’s against their interests. That’s right.❞ —George Carlin

❝Sooner or later the people in this country are going to realize: The government does not give a f*ck about them. The government doesn’t care about you, or your children, or your rights, or your welfare, or your safety. It simply doesn’t give a f*ck about you. It’s interested in its own power. That’s the only thing keeping it and expanding it wherever possible.❞ ——George Carlin
