OMNY still sucks

NY Post

A plan to allow back-door entry on some city buses using the MTA’s OMNY “tap-and-go” fare payment system has failed to materialize nearly six months after being announced, transit officials conceded Monday.

MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan said the agency is still “working on determining routes that could be a part of the pilot” originally announced last August.

The MTA in August said its “all-door boarding” test run would consist of 10 local routes, even though back-door fare readers have been installed on every bus for over a year.

All-door bus boarding has been shown to improve bus speeds where it exists, including on New York City’s “Select Bus Service” express routes. Transit officials first committed to extend the practice to local buses in 2018 as part of the multi-year OMNY.

Advocates who have pushed for back-door bus entry are growing impatient.

“Something’s not right. They should have chosen the routes months ago,” said Ben Fried of the Manhattan-based think tank TransitCenter. “Whatever is jamming this up, MTA leadership needs to unjam it because we’re talking about a change that could improve service for riders across the whole city.”

"A plan to allow back-door entry"

That's some coincidence, since I hear DeBlasio used to allow Sir Laine back-door entry with a strap-on. Poor Mayor Salamander has a lot of chaos and neglect to deal with. Is he lizard enough for the job?

Nah.

Bring back the token.

What this means is no one paying fares anymore. It won't be enforced because the MTA inspectors will be accused of targeting B and Bs.

Calling the MTA president and board smart is like calling Steve Hawking a gymnast.

If I were Eric the Arrogant Nepotist, I would be deeply embarrassed, ashamed and disgraced to be cavorting with an assorted cabal of serial, sexually molesting former governors, family members and failed political hacks appointed by Eric's disloyalty to We, the People (as well as a dereliction of public that betrays his sworn oath of office to protect the city), and abusing his drunken state of temporary power to lavish his crony friends and family drones on the city payroll, whilst working under his 'dead weight' of incompetence, not to mention many of his other shabby, shady, and openly practicing pals who border on criminal sociopathy within city/state government of the past and present (not the ones whom he and his pal, DA Bragg intends to lock up, ironically), all of whom have never escaped their criminally entrenched backgrounds.

All of these egregious acts to which Adams is oblivious for the sake of maintaining seriously qustionable relationships that are unbecoming, and hardly commendible for the mayor of a city that is under siege by all of the past transgressions, cover ups, corruption, graft and wasteful, city management-incompetence from which his rogue predecessor had recently, successfully escaped without censure.

And, now it's Eric's turn (the 'selective' and 'occasional' vegan) to wreak havoc, lower morale (if there is even any wiggle room left for lower morality to exist——below the gutter level!), while small-to-medium business and commerce, society and egalitarian visibility ALL collectively die on the vine.

Yup——the sewer rats of City Hall are balooning up from their gluttonous feeding frenzy and redistribution of other people's money. Brace yourselves for another drastic round of intolerant extremism, abrogated rights, freedoms and liberty, and a paper Constitution that is null and void. And once again (and STILL!): The public be damned!

It's better technology. Less maintenance, less cash to collect, and an OMNY card lasts longer.

The best technology is when nano-tech gets into you by the 10th booster and finally you will be smart an connected to the cloud. This way useless eater you can be controlled like a toy dog.
Is it all a conspiracy? IoT (Internet of Bodies) says no. WEF and Klaus Schwab say no.
All real.

Now get educated, does anyone think Dr. Charles Morgan is a conspiracy theorist?
