"Newtown Historical Society conducted a tour of the Ridgewood Reservoir this Sunday, and while we were on the newly renovated pathway between basins 2 and 3, we came across several different graffiti tags. (311 service request #: 1-1-1020345652)
Perhaps parks should assign a PEP officer here instead of a guy using one of these machines along a path expected to have leaves on it. There were 20MPH winds at the time anyway - nature was taking care of it." - Christina Wilkinson

What a disgrace !
Yep, it's back to the Blas old days-- I mean the bad old days.
Did anyone really believe The Reservoir was going to be immune to these assholes with spray cans?
Come on, its adjacent to Cypress Hills.
Did anyone really think those animals would let it be?
Maybe if 5 Pointz had remained open there might have been a creative outlet offered to aspiring artists rather than have them turn into common vandals.
They are as much aspiring artists as the perp who does a robbery and is shot is an aspiring rapper.......wake up moron.
Please call and write your local pols and the mayor and demand more cops and civilians be re- hired. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I don't think these derelicts are the same as the 5 pointz artists.the graffiti on that building was amazing,it wasn't just narcissistic name tagging. Also most taggers like the feel of breaking the law while the 5 pointz crew had permission
that shit in those photos are grotesque, not artistic.
Excuse me but quite a few former illegal taggers found an opportunity at 5 Pointz to embark on higher level art and give up tagging. Such was the power of 5 Pointz to transform...asshole!
