From Wyckoff Heights:
The Romanian Church of God of Ridgewood has sold their building and an adjacent residence at St. Nicholas and Harman Street to a Williamsburg developer for $1,600,000. The property, which was on the market for a year, had been listed for $1,399,000.
The church building was constructed in 1917 as St. Andrews English Evangelical Lutheran Church and is located adjacent to the Ridgewood Pentecostal Church (originally the Wyckoff Heights Presbyterian Church). The property was purchased by Noam Amos of Home Zone / SNY Group via St. Nick Properties LLC. Amos is currently constructing new residential buildings at 257 Jefferson Street and 186 Greenpoint Ave, and previously developed 310 Humboldt Street.
The Church of God has moved to the former New Apostolic Church at 60-33 Madison Street near Fresh Pond Road, a 1931 building which was put up for sale after the congregation merged with one in Astoria.

I wish some of the Asian churches in bayside closed down...There's way too many of them!
Too many "churches" are really multi-purpose buildings for which the actual worship of God is happening for one hour a week.
You mean Asian tax shelters and birthing houses. Some have sheets on the windows (if they have windows at all)inside pregnant females wait to deliver anchor baby's.
Its become a HUGE business.
Maybe the new developer can some how incorporate some of the existing building in the new design. It would be nice but won't happen, too much thought process for this eager and small minded developers.
Yes there should be some type of tally counting all these Asian churches. Would be interesting. I guess they are too lazy to walk a little or drive to the nearest church. Instead they need one on every corner.
Asian churches have to be in walking distance like Jewish synagogues.
At least the Asian churches don't require city provided NYPD detachments for a holiday every few days.
