Annual 7 train bitchfest commences

For as long as I can remember, the 7 train has shut down on winter weekends for repairs. I know, because I used to work weekends in Manhattan and had to deal with this very inconvenience. The suggestion that the work could or should be completed by shutting the line down for one week straight is kinda dumb as well as impossible. And the assertion that the MTA needs to take the Lunar New Year celebration in Flushing into account is also lame. The trains are still going to Flushing, it just requires a transfer at Queensboro Plaza to get there. If you opened a business in LIC thinking winter weekends were going to be some kind of cash cow for you, you should have done your homework. Keep in mind that the Rockaways currently do not have direct train service anywhere. Maybe this is the right time to count one's blessings as we head into a new year instead of throwing temper tantrums in front of TV cameras.

Outdoor work of any type is much more difficult in the winter.

How about working during the summer when the Mets are out of town.

What would have happened if the Jets played in Shea - errrr. Sh!ty Field.

Wow, getting a bath in Newtown Creek toxic and East River shit, living in a world of limited shopping and restaurant choices, cramming on to a train that just traveled through a 3rd world ghetto, and having Jivey Van B as your councilman leaves a lot to be desired, no?

Maybe Manhattan or Brooklyn makes more sense after all.

What will happen if we have soccer at FMCP?

Everything will work fine when there is money to be made for Mets, Tennis or the like.

Its only when Queens people use something that its tumbledown.

They will not complain and they will not do anything to change it outside of their set role as grumbling suffering peasants.

Koo, Koo, cuckoo!

Floo-shing...
an under served destination of little choice.
Now the MTA is "railroading" it into oblivion.

So, where's its promised success story?

All that can be seen is a grand suck-sess...
a pimple on the ass of NYC!

Who needs subways when you have bicycles?

You would think that in six years they could actually complete this signalling project between Times Square and Queensboro. At this pace, signal upgrades for the entire system will last a millennium.

Excellent point George.

Millions on bike lanes that during this time of year are used by ... well... no one in particular.
