From Lost in the Ozone comes word that the Kissena Corridor Park, though vacated by NY Hospital which had used it as a temporary parking lot, is still not restored.

wow!! now that would be the perfect spot for a high school instead of killing us here in Maspeth, oops now the SCA will take that site too, shit sorry...
The local civic associations did not want this park used by HYHQ as as a parking lot. Against their wishes, CB#7's District Manager, Marilyn Bitterman, brokered the deal with NYHQ to use the Kissena Corridor as a temporary parking lot. (Probably for a favor from NYHQ. It was a well know fact that Bitterman was looking for a job for her husband at the time) Nevertheless, the Park Land was supposed to be returned to its original use.
If NYHQ has not kept their part of this deal, then NYHQ should be in court with the City of New York and Bitterman should be fired!

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. They are not connected to this website and the opinions presented here do not necessarily represent the positions of these organizations.

The Kissena Corridor Park has one of the largest community gardens, if I'm not mistaken, in NYC. (Maybe Frau Obama will visit?)
