Welcome to Sunnyside!

From Miss Heather:

Ah, Sunnyside. Where the billboards are in Spanish and the graffiti is in illiterate English. This is sure to be the next Queens neighborhood to be profiled in complimentary airline magazines.

Does that graffitti say 'fuk christmas'?

I guess someone didn't get the tickle-me-Elmo he wanted.

right across the street from one of the neighborhood's best restaurants, De Mole. It's a shame how much garbage people along 45th and 46th street throw on the garbage in what could be a very nice area.

What have you got to say Susan Meiklejohn, about those colorful, vibrant bustling cultures that are giving new life to Sunnyside?

Yeah....right!

Just a bunch of low class 3rd world bozos!

It's a good thing The Gardens were landmarked or they'd be roasting pigs in the common areas!

Vaya con Dios the rest of the hood!

Hey, where's "Salvatore"?

He should be foaming at the mouth by now and busy composing one of his lengthy diatribes ready to post!

Thank you clubhouse for bringing the vibrant diverse element to our community.

They vote right, eh? Then, what's your beef?

"Just a bunch of low class 3rd world bozos!" Pure xenophobia, not to mention racist/classist trash. The comment would never had been made if Sunnyside were the Lower East Side ca. 1910.

That's right, because the LES of the 1910s was made up of people from Europe, not the 3rd world.

Low class has nothing to do with social standing or wealth. It has to do with disgusting behavior. And if you've been to Sunnyside lately, you'll understand.
