Eyewitness News
RICHMOND HILL, Queens (WABC) -- In Queens, police are investigating a robbery and attempted sexual assault overnight.
Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman early Monday morning, and wondering if it's related to previous incidents.
There are no arrests at this time. Police say the incident took place at 1:45 a.m. in the Richmond Hill section.
Police say an 18-year-old woman was walking down the street, when a man armed with a gun took her to the back of a building where she was robbed and sexually assaulted.
As police investigate, neighbors are concerned about themselves and their own children.
"I never walk alone at night...It's too dangerous to walk alone," said one neighbor.
The victim is in stable conditon recovering at Queens General Hospital.

These attacks are not the girls' fault in any way. But knowing there's a rapist, possibly two on the loose, why are these girls walking around late at night alone?
Crime is up, these stories are found everyday in the news. What up with College Point coverage Crappy?
forget college point, what about whitestone?
this blog is way too maspeth-ridgewood-middle village oriented.
Alright Whitestone...don't make it an Eastside-Westside thang.
Your second sentence is more to the point of my comment. Grazie.
I have covered stories from all parts of Queens on this blog and have visited most of Queens and taken pictures that have appeared on this blog. If the content is not to your liking, start your own damn blog.
Oh, Crappy don't be like that.:( You're doing a great job! Some of us wouldn't mind some more Northeastern Queens stories, that's all.:)
"If the content is not to your liking, start your own damn blog."
Yet another example of why Crappy doe not have a husband.
Crappy is definitely a GUY.
No girl would ever, Ever, EVER have herself photographed on a toilet!
Did you folks ever stop to think that the areas of Queens covered most frequently on this blog have more crap in them than your precious enclaves in northeastern Queens and that's why there is more to post about them? You want more stories related to northeastern Queens? Then you must be secretly hoping that northeastern Queens becomes as ghettoized as western Queens. Be grateful that your nabes aren't covered as much.
That story about the fire in the old mansion in Richmond Hill is going to be in the NY Times because I forwarded it to their reporter for the city section. Now he is not only writing about the fire but is also researching the history of the house.

No, never secretly hoping for that. But this section of Queens is seeing it's share of crap. I'll agree though not as much as other neighborhoods. But we have our share of McMansion crap and multi-family replacing single family crap all over the place.
Sorry, slip of the fingers. Meant italian girl, not crap. Oops.
Northeast Queens is a sterile as an Operating Room in a highly affluent area.
Oh, please, Crappy, can't you regale us with some Little Neck drivel?
Maybe now Richmond Hill will welcome cops instead of always bitchin' about cops.
