Is the NY Times contaminating the wetlands?

"The latest video of the NY Times printing plant site where you can see exposed fill potentially contaminating Mill Creek and the adjacent wetlands. A NY Times rep, at the CB#7 meeting of 2/22/07, said no fill will be exposed or placed near the wetlands. Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!!!!!" - Alan

How silent the press and the politicos still remain on this subject considering the magnitude and gravity of this situation!

This should be front page stuff not buried behind behind the legal notices and classifieds!

I recently found out the results of the DOB complaint I made on the 12th of February:
http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/OverviewForComplaintServlet?requestid=2&vlcompdetlkey=0000852713

The complaint I made had to do with the fact that I have not seen posted work orders or permits on the site. I do not believe this information is posted for the public eye but apparently the building inspector saw something that I did not see. Anyone know a good opthamologist?

All kidding aside, am I barking up the wrong tree? Does the NY Times construction crew have a legal obligation to make this information available to the public? Also, what happens to a resolved complaint if it is not resolved to the satifaction of the complainant? Most importantly, where are the elected officials and community representatives?

Sorry, some politicians are warming the same bench as some CB#7 members.

Somebody got paid and the community got laid!

Is Marilyn Bitterman earning her $70,000+ a year salary on this issue?

I still say, don't trust CB#7!
