Households CANNOT use SNAP benefits to buy: Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes or tobacco Any nonfood items, such as: -- pet foods; -- soaps, paper products; and -- household supplies. Vitamins and medicines. Food that will be eaten in the store. Hot foods
When I was in Harlem, in one of those "bodegas". The guy behind the register would'nt let any food stamps go to sandwiches or hot food. Why is Mc Donalds allowed to accept it? And, a little off the topic, but why are welfare recipients allowed to shop at B.J.'s? They don't even pay for the membership.

America gives a better life to the ordinary guy than does any other country. Let’s be honest: rich people live well everywhere. America’s greatness is that it has extended the benefits of affluence, traditionally available to the very few, to a large segment in society. We live in a nation where “poor” people have TV sets and microwave ovens, where construction workers cheerfully spend $4 on a nonfat latte, where maids drive very nice cars, where plumbers take their families on vacation to the Caribbean. Recently I asked an acquaintance in Bombay why he has been trying so hard to relocate to America. He replied, “I really want to move to a country where the poor people are fat.”
Some poor people aren't fat. It's a certain element of the poor. Some people are poor because of the economy but grew up middle class. The laws are being broken. You aren't supposed to be able to buy food at McDonald's.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

That's either photoshopped or someone put a bumper sticker with a red background on there.
It's not photoshopped.

Different rules for different fools.
Did you take the picture yourself, Crapola?
Yes I did.
They way I read the SNAP regs, if you buy a cold sandwich, a danish, or juice, etc. and don't eat it in the store, it's ok.
Why are poor people fat? They are hungry!

Watch South Park episode "Medicinal Fried Chicken"
Junk food cost less than fruit. Soda cost less than juice. Hot dogs cost less than chicken.
Alot of poor families cook with lard or bacon grease which contains more fat than oil.
A little off-topic here, but can you give me the location of that McDonald's sign that's on the pole? I want to call that in to Sanitation.
It's written in the post.
Anoyn 2,
sorry, but cookies and crap cost way more than a bag of oranges.
Actually, no it doesn't.
Watch the movie, "Food, Inc."
