Hundreds of cops will flood city streets beginning Monday as part of an aggressive NYPD initiative called “Summer All Out” to stanch the rise in murders and shootings.
More than 330 new police officers will take to some of the city’s grittiest blocks and precincts in an effort to bring this year’s homicide statistics back in line with last year’s historic lows.
The officers taking part in the crimefighting program will be assigned to work peak crime shifts — 4 p.m. to midnight and midnight to 8 a.m. — in areas like the 75th Precinct in East New York, Brooklyn (11 homicides through May 31), the 67th Precinct in East Flatbush, Brooklyn (seven homicides), and the 113th Precinct in St. Albans and Hollis, Queens (seven homicides).
They will also concentrate on public housing developments with the highest crimes rates.

No Bloomberg dumped section 8 into private houses out here. Houses being rented instead of bought. That's the real problem.

RIGHT ON. This is an issue that is rarely talked about. At least in a housing project, the element is contained. In homes, they are spread block by block.

Its all about a ticket blitz because the citys going bankrupt. The cops will likely only be screwing with people in good white neighborhoods so dont sit on you stoop and drink a beer, smoke a cig, joint, 1MPH over the new speed limits etc. !!!

The only way to stop this trouble is for our politicians to stop inviting all these illegals to our urban inner citys and START deporting. Black people are losing jobs, housing, education and services to illegals who now take the lions share in NY. Blacks are getting really PISSED OFF from all the fallout. This will only get worse and could mean civil war.

They are putting cops who work inside in the street a few days a week. Do you really think they will do police work?
The nypd always kept crime down by omniprescence, you either hire a few thousand more cops( and a couple hundred extra civilians)
Or the city is done.
no just use the TSA full body scanners, that are siting idle....ya dont want to be scanned for drugs or guns on your way in or out?...move and pay your own full rent....
