If at first you don't succeed...

Glendale Shopping Center 8200 Cooper Av by queenscrapper

Apparently, the Hemmerdingers have plans for another outdoor mall right next to the one of theirs that failed. Except this time the parking's free and it will actually have something useful - a supermarket - as an anchor tenant.

Looks disgusting. Very hostile to humans, awful to go to if you aren't in a car. Traffic in the area is already bad. About

Well is can't be a Stop and Shop or Pathmark. Perhaps a Whole Foods?
What other supermarket could it be?

The proposed project is great as I'm sure it will bring many local jobs to an area that needs them. However, does anyone have any information on how the tapering set to take effect by March 2014 is going to affect the interest rates of the mortgages of homeowners in Glendale? Will these jobs pay enough to get people out of poverty? And even if they do, will they be able to afford homes once QE is reduced?

Fairway.
That would be a strong anchor tenant.

Looks GREAT, Nice and retro like a human's with actual talent were at the drawing boards.
Unlike this bland generic CAD crap you see everyplace.

Fairway in Douglaston is not pulling in numbers as they had anticipated.
Doubt very much they would open up 8 miles down the road.

So a strip mall, basically, complete with at-grade parking.

So sad.
