State Senator Tony Avella is planning to hold a press conference this Friday, February 22 at 12 noon at 149th Street bet 41st Ave and Roosevelt Ave at the LIRR Bridge "dead end" barricade. Please contact his office if you can attend at 718-357-3094.
I don't know if any city council member will be there, his staff did not mention it to me. Will you be able to attend? Call his office and mention you will attend for support. If you know anyone else please have them call his office. Thx.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt

Why does everything Tony have to be a news conference? Why isn't he able to resolve things behind the scenes?

Because some times you have to do things in public to get things done.
what has a democrat politician done for Queens citizens ,in the past years, besides getting convicted and being imprisoned ?
"Dead End Press Conference." That's a sad headline if you really think about it . . .
Ooops...
I thought that dead end was a comment directed toward Senator Avella's efforts here.
Sorry, I had meant to post it as: "Dead End" press conference held by Senator Tony Avella. (..sorry about that).
