Medical Mess going to the BSA

There's now a whole website dedicated to the Medical Monstrosity just a few doors down from Peter Vallone, Jr.'s office on 31st Street in Astoria.

Attend the special permit hearing for #315-12-BZ scheduled for Feb 26, at 1:30PM
Spector Hall 22 Reade St. in Manhattan

The NY BSA is voting to permit the 8-story monstrosity to be built 10 feet too close to the rear neighbors homes by changing the rear yard zoning requirements.

What happens to your backyard (and neighborhood) if "Junior" Vallone should (Heaven forbid) become borough president?

VOTE WISELY! VOTE AVELLA!

The Vallone family are real estate industry lobbyists.
An online search of their campaign donations will support my statement.

Who owns that?

Friends of the Vallones.

Funny.

It seems that the guy that has this building has the same last name as the guy that is running against Vallone's home-boy.

CB1 the community board from hell.

So what - even if these guys win, they will go back into their borrows and nothing will change in Astoria.

This is not the first time nor the last that this will happen.

The community absolutely refuses to ever get to the level of sophistication needed to set up a political culture beyond kissing the padrone's ring.

Even the young hispter foodies are religiously apolitical.

Look who voted yes...Roster. Isn't Tony Meloni Vallone's protege?

Look at the owners and figure out the Vallone connection. It's there.

While you are at this look how the Vallones are squandering $4 million of public money at the Astoria Pool for a theater project that legit theater groups cannot use and will be little more than a fancy lounge area.

Just think of where this money can have been spent on something useful and think of how Queens will look if the Vallones still win political office on the council and in borough hall.

La Famiglia Di Vallone...a long time political mobster dynasty that must be put down!

So the question for me really becomes this:
How can we help develop and engage the young hipster foodies (who are Astoria residents who happen to rent) into sophisticated, engaged citizens?

Discuss.....
