Van Bramer to vote "no" on bridge renaming

Council Member Van Bramer's Queensborough Bridge Letter
But has he lobbied the rest of his colleagues to also vote no? My money's on no. AM-NY says the bill is expected to pass.

There's still time to sign the petition and call your local council member.

All right Queens Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer. You're the Man.

And folks, it's really the 11th hour. If you haven't called or emailed your City Council member, please do it now. Here's the link.

While you're at it, contact Queens Borough President Helen Marshall.

Tell her what you think of this.

Even if they do rename it, it'll go as well as Ave of the Americas

Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer glad to hear he has a voice as well as a brain. Maybe he should have a talk with Dizzy Lizzy and explain to her not to vote for a renaming of our boroughs bridge! It is The Queensboro Bridge and should represnt our borough. Queens is not a dormat and we should'nt allow somebody take our idenity away.

Well if you weren't doormats in the first place and had your electeds play you like a violin this wouldn't happpen in the first place.

Hint: If you are trying your wings on assertiveness, its not 'shouldn't allow' its 'MUST NOT.'

Ah, but at least you are trying (sigh)

I signed the petition. I emailed both Van Bramer and Dromm because I live near the council district's border. I will be sending a thank you to Van Bramer.

I sent a letter to QTrib and QChron opposing the bridge renaming. Both papers published the letter.
