A tree falls in Fresh Meadows

From NY1:

Windy conditions yesterday may have caused a tree to fall on a Queens home.

This is why the pruning budget is a higher priority than the planting budget.

A tree falls and ? With hundred of thousands of trees in the city, i'm sure a few will fall down due to wind/rain/storms/age. Hopefully they are up to date on their homeowners insurance.

The Parks Dept is supposed to inspect them to make sure they don't blow over in a stiff wind...

This last winter, while walking on 42nd street and Bryant Park a pretty large branch came down. No one got injured. I'm sure a few people had lawsuits in their minds, plus a few days off work, I know I did, he he he, but now I'm glad all was good.
