My favorite stories are the ones where someone advocates increasing immigration to sop up the supply.
I don't share the rabid hatred of immigrants that some on this board display, but I still think it is a little much to think we should support additional competition for jobs when citizens have none, and additional competition for housing when workers are living in homeless shelters.
the many foreclosures are due to greed from realtors, brokers, and the banks who find and give out loads, when they know they can't afford it. the bubble has popped and now what are they going to do to fix it? damn shame......
Once again... foreclosures are NOT a borough-wide problem in Queens. The vast majority of them are happening in a few select zip codes in southeast and northwest Queens. You won't find them in Forest Hills or Douglaston.
It doesn't matter where it is happening. All of this is bringing the city and the country down and the quicker prices readjust to the new reality and start finding stable hands, the better.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. Surprise, surprise.
And the prices still the highest in the country, and still out of the price range of average middle class families.

Who on this board displays rabid hatred of law-abiding immigrants? If you come here a) legally and b) follow the law we have no problem with you.
