Wow where to begin with this disaster? Let's go from left to right... First up, we have a cinder-block garage with a graffiti-covered door, a house that has seen better days, sporting boarded up windows, graffiti and bars on every opening, topped off by a patch of dirt in front of it which I suppose may have been a garden at some point. A newish piece of Brooklyn Crap is built right up next to it which is so narrow that it looks like you may have to walk around in it sideways. There's a stairway to heaven in front of it and a concreted-over yard to the side. So in light of all this, and after reading the sign, our contributor asks, "Question is, which home is the luxury one?" - Who Walk in Brooklyn
And I asked an urban planner which type of zoning allows for buildings this narrow. The response: "None. 18' wide is the minimum. TOTALLY ILLEGAL!"

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS CITY?
I would have preferred to see the older home restored, but if that wasn't going to happen then tear it down and build a big piece of crap, not that skinny thing!
lmao so it's happening in brooklyn, well welcome to queens heartburn. thank god finally in my area they are rezoning and downsizing. don't understand how they can get away with this crap, i guess the older house didn't have window on that side? even for a cheap price the house isn't worth it. developers will buy it and do the same with several homes to sell on that property. watch out brooklyn it will be popping up everywhere.
The house could be fixed up real nice. Those small houses have character, nice cross ventilation, etc if you remove the siding or whatever that is. Is there a little yard in back? Believe me, in houses anyway smaller is better.
