A Federal Customs agent has been indicted in the mysterious shooting death of a friend in his Queens home.

Eric Alke, an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent assigned to Kennedy Airport, was ordered held on $75,000 bail Friday on charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in the June 26 incident.

Alke initially told police that victim Adrian Moldovan, 50, was visiting his Forest Hills apartment about 3:30 p.m. after the pair had been out drinking.

Alke claimed Moldovan snatched his off-duty .38-caliber Smith & Wesson from the kitchen table and fatally shot himself once in the chest.

But Alke's lawyer said Friday the shooting happened in the apartment vestibule, on a set of stairs. Alke left the weapon on a stairway ledge, then heard a shot after he'd turned his back on the gun and his friend, said lawyer Gerard Marrone.

"We're not saying it was a suicide," Marrone said. "It was just a very, very unfortunate accident."

Alke is due back in court Sept. 3.

SLAY RAP ON QNS. FED AGENT
By IKIMULISA LIVINGSTON, NY Post

A federal customs agent is facing up to 15 years in prison for shooting a real estate agent to death, authorities said yesterday.

Erik Alke, 41, a Customs and Border Protection agent at JFK Airport, was indicted yesterday on charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide for the June 26 shooting at his home in Forest Hills, Queens.

The victim, Adrian Moldovan, 50, was helping build a patio when the off-duty Alke - who had been drinking - fired his .38 caliber revolver, sending a slug tearing through the victim's chest, prosecutors said.

The agent's lawyer, Gerard Marrone, claimed that the victim shot himself accidentally.

What is going on in Forest Hills? First the Bukharians now this! Was this guy a Bukharian?.
What we need is to revise our immigration laws! we need to retur to the National Origins Immigration law that was in effect until corrupt politicians changed it in the 60's. Thaen we would not have to deal with all this crap of bukharians et all!. Did you know that the FBI has been watching these terrorits in Forest Hills for some time now?. That shows thah even so called "legal immigrants" that come here to polute our culture should be deported back to Bukharian land. Let them go and fight the Georgians (another distinguished grouo of immigrants)
How did we get here?

Erik is a good man, with a heart of gold. We, his friends, know this. He would NEVER, intentionally hurt anyone! His friends will stand by him throughout this ordeal!

With all due respect, I dont know erik from a whole in the wall, but Adrian, who was NOT bukharan helped my friends and I find an apartment a long time ago. He could not have been a nicer gentler soul. The guy was christian (not muslim) and his immigration status was not a question. The question is how this gentleman allowed his gun to fire a slug through the chest of someone who was over to help him.

before you criticize the Bukharian people, please notice that your talking Racism and not all buharians are the same.I'm buharian and very proud being that. every country has a bad person, that doesn't mean everyone is bad because one did something bad.
