Hey can you point out the two things that are missing in this photo? Here's a clue.

I lived across the street from that park for a little over a decade. That poor statue must've gotten mowed down by some idiot driver exiting the BQE every other summer.
I still live in the neighborhood but don't walk down 65th Pl all that often anymore. Usually in the summer, to chat with my old neighbors. I don't recall seeing the statue there last summer, now that I think about it...
Italicized passages and many of the photos come from other websites. The links to these websites are provided within the posts.
Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. They are not connected to this website and the opinions presented here do not necessarily represent the positions of these organizations.
The comments left by posters to this site do not necessarily represent the views of the blogger or webmaster.

Where's the flag, Lewandowski?
Another of your hatreds?
I don't think that I see an American flag
that should be flying above the others.
a shame. Sounded like a neat statue:
"The monument’s seven-foot-tall allegorical victory figure bears a sword in her right hand and a shield in her left,"
You guys are good. The statue (and flag) can be seen here: Victorious America.
cool,
and quite pretty too :)
There's also only one bench at what appears to be a chess table above the statue's base in the photo.
Maybe it's a wheelchair accessible chess table.
Isn't that one of Henry Stern's illegally constructed yardarms?
