More of the real Elmhurst

Surely, the owner of this rowhouse property on Grand Avenue didn't want to be the only one to not squeeze every last dime out of it, as his neighbors did. So he's in the process of crappifying it. Also, he got caught with an illegal SRO conversion.

Let's just pretend these problems don't exist, however.

Oh my God, this is the mother of all Crap developments. This stretch just glorifies the very worst examples of what not to do and get away with it! This what every 2 bit developer admires and aspires to. God help Queens - where is DOB?

3rd world mania strikes again!

It looks like a backstreet
in some far off corner of the world.

Every "peasant" coming to America
wants to be a "big landlord" overnight....
sit on his ass.....exploiting some illegal tenant...
and smile on his way to the bank!

Maybe he'll eventually
run for the city council some day.

And just *why* was the violation dismissed? Did someone grease the wheels of justice with a little green?

Looks truly like a little Saigon, the restaurant in the picture is creating his home town.
