Tweeding at its finest!

From The Intercept:

THE RISE OF Congressman Joe Crowley, D-N.Y., has coincided with lucrative lobbying contracts for his younger brother, John Crowley, an attorney who goes by the first name Sean, and previously specialized in wills and estate law.

Sean Crowley serves as a partner at Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP, a powerhouse law firm with offices in Albany, New York City, and Washington, D.C., that advertises its ability to connect clients with congressional leadership.

Over the last decade, clients with interests before Congress have retained Sean Crowley through his lobbying firm, paying more than $4.5 million to influence and monitor government policies, according to a review of contracts by The Intercept.

Clients in recent years have included Oracle, AbbVie, NBCUniversal, Juniper Systems, New York Community Bancorp, Abbott Labs, and Elections Systems & Software.

In many cases, the interests of Sean Crowley’s clients have overlapped with his elder brother’s legislative and political work.

Wow, you don't say? Now why did the Queens Courier choose to print this 900+ word ass licking piece instead of delving into this shady business?

P.S. The primary is tomorrow.

Traditional Irish parochial political nepotism at its finest.
A long history of civil service , church, political climbers and doling out patronage to loyal subjects. Don't knock it. That's what America is...a land of opportunity. But....isn't that really human nature? Bonaparte handed out offices to his family. Yes, I know we live in a republic , mostly based on Roman law and their system of patronage. Be thankful that our citizens aren't fleeing violence in Central America. God bless America, with all its faults. We were founded as a noble experiment. Let's hope the voters can rise to their responsibilities and cast out shady pols like Crowley.

Great article Crapster, I've shared it around. Not my district (that's Meng) but I'd love to see him replaced with someone with stronger moral caliber.

I'm not sure if the Intercept really has it in for Crowley for some reason, or that the rest of the media is ignoring it, or both.

For the same reason that a sub-human scourge like William Randolph Hearst painted the Spaniards as 'savages' in the Spanish American War (that triggered a senseless, bloody battle of Cuban sugar cane), that left thousands of innocent American soldiers dead and buried before life ever even began. And, the same reason for the sinking of the Lusitania ('NAKED GREED,' and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder [OCD]), two forms of mental illness for which there IS no cure!

The world's 'LAMESTREAM,' propaganda 'lying-and-denying' media-centric outlets, and their corporate obedient plutocracy have lied to We, the People with such a global force of destruction (that murdered and massacred life for ALL living things!), that these voracious, predatory, rapacious, pseudo, proxy, petrodollar war criminals (and the global crimes against humanity that they've selfishly, pathologically committed, with impunity), now DEVALUE honesty itself――and, the public be damned (again and STILL).

In fact, even a public execution could never absolve, much less expiate, these REAL corporate savages and barbarians at the hedgerow――not EVEN if they collectively reincarnated STRICTLY for a second, public execution! Men have been hanged for LESS!

Did you know the Irish were fully represented in the British parliament during the famine? But there is no mention of the suffering in their parliamentary speeches. And while Irish will claim that they, too, were slaves, they forget that they were sentenced to indentured servitude for seven years for sleeping drunk on English streets. Now they want you to think Danny Halloran is a political prisoner!

They were drunk on American streets in the 5 Points. Many Irish women married middle class freed Black slaves who were better prospects as husbands than their native country men. For many it was considered a step up. Read the history of the 5 Points and find out this was so.

Republicans sez government doesn't work, then government doesn't work.
They all suck, Whores !!

Speaking of dogshit, Crowley's and Irish: What's going on with Myrtle ave, weeds are growing out the curbs, trash cans overflowing. Sidewalks look and stink like porta-pottys on St.Patricks day (Myrtle between Fresh Pond & 60th Lane). Dogshit every place and not a cop is sight to deal with the scofflaw dog people. To add ballsy aggressive beggars on the benches accosting people at the munimeters and leaving a stores.
They reek of feces and may be spreading lice, its a public health & safety and issue that makes a ride on the 7 train equate to a presidential suite on The Orient-Express!!

To anon above:

I don't speak for the intercept but they don't have it in for Crowley, just the corporate owned electeds sponging off the people they charm to remain in office. That site covers every duplicitous scumbag in DC very thoroughly. This time it was Joe's turn, I am sure if there was someone effective running against "Squatter" Gregory Meeks they would have preyed on him too, but he is mentioned in one of those articles Crappy posted.

And the media is shockingly ignoring this race, no doubt about it. Because they are bought and owned too and will not give any attention to a true, honest and informed candidate, hacks like Joe are preferred because they keep the status quo resilient and they also bought him too. The only race the news are covering is that one in Staten Island with that cheap bore Donovan and that psychopath Grimm

Again, I like to thank Crappy or the collective Crappy for posting these articles and videos on this scumbag that I sent them with the exception of that video where Virginia Joe rattles about what a different white man he is from Trump, regardless that he needed his supporters money to fund his latest and only 30 second campaign ad.

Vote for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez if you live in the 14th and are democrat, and write in "ham sandwich" instead of filling the circle for Meeks in the 5th. Like James Brown sang:

Get up
Get into it
Get involved
Get rid of Joe Crowley and Greg Meeks.

I really hope Crowley goes down... the stuff he does on our taxpayer dime is criminal.... the sad thing is the county loyalists take the scraps that he gives them.... and vote for him blindly

Crowley will get reelected in a landslide and this blog shows why:

1. the opposition to the machine has a number of nutcakes. even if you despise it, a large segment of those whose opposite it are quite frankly annoying, ineffective, and off the deep end: you just don't even want to hear what they have to say or be with then or (shudder) think of what it would look like with them in office.

2. a large segment of a community actually benefits from the machine though patronage, nice access to exchanging money for power, and sorry wanna-bes that bask in the attention of 'tha man' (and we know who you are in each category)

3. fresh off the boat and believe in the patrone (yuck) or the mythical streets paved in bold (ah shucks)

But this being said, what we see in this election is a sea change: for the first time its out in the open; Joe is being challenged and people have displayed a deep pool of dislike and resentment. Party machinery may have its foot on our neck, but its very fragile and brittle: it depends on bullsh*tting people in to accepting its particular warped view of the world and that crap is wearing a bit thin. The once proud Democratic Party of Roosevelt and Kennedy is now the stale faded ramshackle shack of Hillary and Joe.

And now with what is brewing in Washington, for the first time a new choice, a fresh perspective is forming. No Trump is not the answer, but yes Trump is pointing in a fresh direction.

As an old wag once said: do not comment on how the dog walking on its hind legs looks, just marvel that it happens at all.

We are seeing the beginning of the end folks and the feeling is great.

"We are seeing the beginning of the end folks and the feeling is great"

I think the above poster he is correct. Neighbors I know said screw that bastard who lives in Virginia as we suffer. He's never around unless he is singing and playing his guitar at some event or some political engineering stunt.
They say they NO MORE CHANCES and are either voting for "the chick" or gonna give a Republican a try. Something about how both Trump and Maxine have proved just about everything wrong with Democrats and the rigged biased media behind them.

Anonymous said...

...it's a primary,
either way you're stuck with corruption on the one hand,
or a blathering socialist on the other.

Time to get with the bandwagon of real change folks.
Trump's travel ban (the one that's trying to keep Islamic radicals out of our nation, which the Democrats opposed) was UPHELD by the SUPREME Court.
That means he was rightfully within his Presidential powers to protect our borders.
We all knew this though, except for the Democrats in NYC and LA.

Meanwhile, DeBozoio is off on a cross-country tour promoting stupid as a way of life.

When you find out the results of this vote today, keep a few things in mind:

-If Crowley wins, you have yourselves to blame for fostering this Democrat troglodyte.

-If Ocasio wins, you've only moved one step closer to Pelosi, Maxine Watters and sponsoring illegal gangs on our streets in Queens because she's so clever that she thinks ICE should be abolished.

-Ask yourself a simple question, which party is currently upholding our American traditions, our culture and the ideals of self-reliance, self-sufficiency and lawfulness,
and snap out of your delirium. If you were actually born in this city, you will know what I'm talking about.

Not to sound offended or defensive, but I find people way more annoying that vote for the same hacks who don't have their interests in mind. As for off the deep end, it's come to the point were sanity is being re-defined and it's become acceptable to make the same mistake over and over and expecting a different or desired results.

Joe's constant abuse of his guitar and flat warbling should be enough of a reason to get rid of him, but where are the Republican candidates? Nowhere to be found, because Joe is a useful idiot for corporate donors that running a candidate reliant on similar corporate donors or even the same (as was recently reported) would be redundant. Filthy lucre is the only thing these bastards display bipartisanship over.

As for Ms. Ocasio-Cortez and her alleged radical ideas and the red-scaring. To quote George Carlin "take a fucking chance" It's America, bitches!
