Someone is really in love with himself

Why does Vanity Smurf come to mind?

But seriously, folks, why is the Chocolate Factory, a 501c3 not-for-profit arts organization that gets funding from Van Bramer, making a promotional video for a politician?

And why does Van Bramer in that video declare a WAR on the Roman Catholic Church?

Face it. This is why you read Queens Crap - the number one source for what's happening in the Borough. I'm sure the rest of the media will be questioning Van Bramer as to what the hell is going on here.

12 minutes of pure crap. Anyone ever try to speak with him on the street? His snobbish manners are detestable.

That video shows that some Factory people are following Jimmy everywhere he goes on our tax dollars. Also what hacks those artists are for making such a shoddy compilation video. And the soundtrack, all the vibrant diversity is represented. (is that last song called "I did it all", ho ho ho)

I remember this story from the summer and I wonder are they using monies for renting studios to create their supposed art or for apartments so they can live in the area. It makes me wonder if any of these dopes who according to their record have not produced anything noteworthy in 10 years are dwelling in the Hunters Point Plaza.

I am so sorry for the people not starstruck by this vain prick in the 26th.

This guy, from humble "I lived in a homeless shelter" beginnings, is by far the most pretentious asshole on the Council. And that's saying a lot.

Anonymous said...

All of that and exactly what DID he accomplish in all his years in office? Nothing earth shattering or worthy of a 12 minute montage.

JQ LLC said...

put it on mute and play in-a-gadda-da-vida instead

It's fun to stay at the Y, M, C, A!

Self-righteous, self-absorbed,narcissistic, ego-maniacal scumbag. But the mopes in his district will re-elect him in a heartbeat. He really has accomplished nothing in his district worth note.Other than his self promotion.

Please stop hating and accept "diversity"...

Where are the bikini clad prancing girls? Where are the feathered beauties of the Lido club in Paris? Where are those Follies Bergere dancers?
What a dump!

This haughty, sentimental, tear jerking puff piece cound teach Herr Goebbels a thing or two. Talk about "Springtime For Hitler" ...that number from Mel Brooks famous comedy...this is a real hoot and a half. Too bad I just vied 12 minutes worth of dung after I've breakfasted. I just hurled up my oatmeal.
Thank you Jimmy boy.

Notify IRS to pull the Chocolate Factory's 501C3.

he is such a fibber he was only homeless for one (1) month that was it -- who was he kidding - the liar

Jimmy loves the arts so much that he helped to pull the plug on the world renown 5 Pointz Aerosol Arts Center.
He pocketed $10,500 in campaign contributions from the Wolkoff family who owns the site for being their accomplice.
Now a mega monster development is in progress there, straining the poor infrastructure of LIC even more.
One thing for sure, Jimmy loves developers's dollars more than anything.

I love starting off this epic , drawn out, promo piece with a Harvey Milk quote.
Van Bramer is milking his constituents, only they are too damn dumb to know it!
Hmmmmm....Mayor Van Bramer....President Van Bramer. The boy has set his sights on a much higher office.
Oh well...tis the Yultide season. Let's all sing along together. "Don we now our gay apparel...fa la la, fa la la...la, la la".

A lengthy, amateurish PR piece...composed of dozens of snap shots and random quotes...with a bunch of zoom in , zoom out shots.
Is this the best that the Chocolate Factory can produce for their wunderkind?
It only shows you how really bereft Queens is for most anything...especially capable political leaders.
Jimmy is REBNY's stooge. They will support his run for mayor soon. Mark my words!

Jimmy , with his signature lisp , babbles on and on.
Ah...the forced put on vanity of an aging star.
Norma Desmond's protege.

Gee....Jimmy has saved the world! LOL!
He'd have you think so from that big slice of horse shit he's just foisted upon us.

Tongue in where?
That is sexist!

Anonymous said...

The Chocolate Factory has THEIR tongue somewhere. That is for certain.
How much money do they get from Councilman Jimmy?

Anonymous said...

Well the Chocolate Factory is going places - look how her involvement in the community board is a short stepping stone to public office to replace Jimmy when that prissy little Queens Library alum tries to run for mayor.

That place is exhibit A of the cultural funding in Queens.

A tiny number of institutions that provide targeted audiences (the third string Chinese and Andean cultural programs or the lame watered down hipster offerings from last year's Williamsburg's reject pile) hog most of the money sucking the oxygen out of the room for everyone else.

(Why there IS Jamaica the cynical asses mention as they give you yet another cultural survey that wastes your time but ensures that YOUR programs are reaching the people that THEY want)

The point is that things like the Chocolate Factory (Queens Theater, et al) for the most part cannot do any real fund raising like the supposedly cultural leaders they claim they be. Their problem is that programs pale besides the competition in the real world.

So they become pale creatures of the state in ours.

Wait till the city gets in gear the "Cultural Master Plan.'

Sounds like we all will be given red kerchiefs to wear as we start each program facing borough hall with a salute to intone "This program is supported by public funds from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Borough President Melinda Katz, aod our Queens Delegation."

Crappie, if you ever post another video like this please put a warning label on it. I just lost my breakfast after viewing this.

I MISUNDERSTOOD THE HEADLINE...THOUGHT YOU WERE REFERRING TO DIBLASIO...

It is illegal for a non profit to use their funding for political purposes. Rush this issue over to Judge Vallone.

That my friends appears at the video's very outset: . . . 00:10

And that's why you've got glass towers all over LIC.

And why does Van Bramer in that video declare a WAR on the Roman Catholic Church?

Why should that concern you George?

As an avowed Atheist, doesn't that make Van Bramer and you bedfellows?

Anonymous said...

well it seems Judge Vallone is just as evil and underhanded as JVB birds of a feather flock together -- they both got paid an arm and a leg under the table for everything --

Anonymous said...

The guy calls his staff Team JVB. He has a vanity license plate with his initials. A real loser. And the most hated member of the city council by his colleagues.

georgetheatheist said...

Why should that concern you George?

I am a student of political science and sociology (et alia).

Where have you ever seen me say, as Van Bramer said in the video, to "rise up" and "fight back" against any religion?

I have no knowledge of Van Bramer's religious leanings, if he even has any. But I still would like to know what the Cardinal and Van Bramer were discussing in this Van Bramer posted photo here. Readers. Any clue?

Anonymous said...

He's a snob.

Anonymous said...

I think that the Chocolate Factory is stirring the fudge a little too hard.

Anonymous said...

My God...this shit runs for 12 minutes! That's a fuckin' political mini series!

JVB said...

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?
Aw, shucks, it's me (blush)".

Let's hope that Jimmy doesn't decide to moon for the audience.
MGM has their Leo signature. Why not Jimmy's moon .....like the horse's ass that he is....as his signature ?

Just what the world needs, another community organizer. How come its hands off with WC Bryant H.S.? Is it because he has in laws working there? That principal needs to go. Jimmy's for Jimmy & no one else.

Anonymous said...

absolutely the principal needs to go and his nephews go to that school also and one of his relatives is a teacher there --

Anonymous said...

Jimmy's husband's sister is a teacher there that is why nothing is being done!!!!!!

Look at me! I'm so special! And I am in the center of EVERYTHING! Wowee!

What a jerk. His team is awful too. I once went to a community board meeting and sat at a table near some of his team. They couldn't have been more disinterested in what was going on. They barely looked up from their phones.
