A construction site was ripped through in Queens early Sunday, the fifth in a string of arsons since November, officials and witnesses said.
The fire started started on 112th St. and 69th Road in Forest Hills around 12:33 a.m., FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief Robert Strong said. The site was immediately engulfed by fire and went to a second alarm, which took over an hour for nearly 150 firefighters to extinguish.
Strong said this latest fire, which is believed to be the eighth one in the neighborhood, is suspicious.
Cops released a photo Sunday of a suspect who is responsible for setting at least four construction sites to blaze since Nov. 8. He is described as a man with a light complexion, wearing glasses, a scarf on his face, with a green helmet on a motorcycle.
